if you misplace a new item like a torch at the slot of the dismatel or build tool. you lose those tools. and no way to craft new ones.

Try opening the tool menu, then right click on the tool in question and select "add to... " - i think - "action 1" or "action 2". Essentially, changing the torch has knocked it out of the toolbar/shortcut spot and it has to be manually replaced. The torch/flashlight and the repair tool are automatically set to the toolbar when you start, but the dismantle tool is NOT and must be added manually. Later on, if you change out your torch/flashlight, then the new one has to manually added as well.
