The jump mechanics in this game are AWFUL. I’ve been trying to get through the jump puzzle at Winston Grave for 3 hours now. If the jump mechanics are going to stay this terrible at least give us a quick save option.

100% agree. The jump mechanics in the game are straight up garbage. This is compounded by the fact jump sections are everywhere. I legit had a full blown rage moment at Winston grave due to the trash jumping. I wound up setting my auto save to 5 minutes and waiting after each jump. It's basically a toss up if the guy will grab or even jump every time.

I've actually figured it out pretty well. Jumping is really a matter of timing, and climbing seems to be triggered by the release of the space bar.

Ha, you think it's bad for you? On my slightly old midrange PC the Lazarus base is up to about 40-50ms game tick time and there is a massive input lag. I can release a key and keep moving for 2-3 seconds.

I climbed the ladder to the radio tower and with no hands on the keys watched my robot totally lemming straight off the tower outside my control. It wasn't a huge suprise, I'd been humping every building for some time before that. Fortunately I'd just saved.

So yeah it's particualry hair raising doing jump skill testing with an input lag.

I feel a quicksave method would get rid of the need for backup stations.

Hmmph I havn't loaded a quicksave yet. Fortunately avoided any game ending bugs so far

Of course I'm a little paranoid about physics objects near the boat

There was a nice suggestion in the forum that it would be good if you could avoid parkour sections by investing in repair materials - so choose between skill or time

#

since that gamer has parkinsons so cannot do those sections easily
