Note that you need fresh water, not saltwater.

Pump -> water purifier -> sabatier reactor

Also:
petrol power generator (co2) -> sabatier reactor

After that and power connected, the reactor will produce O2 (4 outputs) and methane (center output with the bull‘s head symbol)

What level are you? At level 20 you will get a destillation tower to make diesel and petrol from oil. And there is -somewhere on the map- a way to get tons of oil…

For early game there is a petrol generator which makes petrol out of biomass…

The diesel engine on the ship produces CO2 as well.

Yep! It's right by the exhaust on the back

I think you can even turn the engine on while the ship is moored so you don't have to move
