At some point ocean surface in my current save started to swell heavily. Waves are reach up to 3 meters in height and they won't stop. Boat is getting tossed up and down violently. There is no storm or rain. It can be a clear day with no clouds, but waves just keep going. There is nothing that I can point to as definitely broken, but this behavior is at least strange.
#Huge waves out of nowhere without storm.

Yea I mentioned this in the suggestions forums as a balancing suggestion. Its annoying to anchor on what should be calm seas only to have your boat rising and falling that hard constantly. Making getting on the boat in 'calm' weather hard for no reason.
As you go north, the seas get much heavier. It's consistent, so my guess is it's an environmental factor built into "zones" and is not weather related. Put another way, the northern parts of the map have a much higher sea-state than do the southern areas.
The weird part is I get calmer seas during storms in the north. 4.6m all day but during a storm the waves drop to 3.2m or something like that. It doesnt make sense. And even if they are consistent the waves dont match the story then. If the waves are that harsh none of the structures would be standing in the north except those on solid foundations as anything built on the scaffolding would have been torn down by oxidization and sheer force.
The waves might be realistic, but I find them too wild for the small boat we have. I would prefer calmer seas and a lot less rocking the boat from a QoL perspective.
