#Early Concerns About the April 7 Update – Player Perspective

Hello,
Even before the new season starts, there are already serious concerns about the direction of the game.

  1. Overwhelming Amount of Content at Once
The update introduces multiple major systems simultaneously:

New exclusive heroes (from CN S5–S6)
A new board/cheese mode
A collaboration event (Heroes of Might & Magic)
Season synchronization

This creates cognitive overload and removes the sense of controlled progression the game used to have.

  1. Dilution of the Banner Pool (Key Issue)
The banner system itself remains similar, however the addition of a large number of new heroes significantly dilutes the pool.

This results in:

Much lower probability of obtaining specific key heroes
Increased randomness despite similar mechanics
Greater difficulty in targeting and completing teams

In practice, this makes acquiring essential units far more difficult, sometimes close to unrealistic for many players.

  1. Sudden Meta Acceleration (Power Creep)
Importing heroes from more advanced CN seasons introduces:

Pre-optimized, meta-defining units
Immediate power creep
Risk of existing rosters becoming obsolete

The transition feels rushed rather than organic.

  1. Shift Toward FOMO-Driven Design
    The combination of:

Diluted banners
Meta-heavy releases
Reduced targeting efficiency

Creates stronger Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), pushing players into rushed decisions rather than long-term planning.

  1. Paywalled Content Concerns (Critical Point)
The situation becomes more concerning with the example from CN servers:

The artifact Angelic Alliance is only obtainable via Dragon Crystals, which are exclusively purchasable with real money.

This introduces:

Direct power tied to spending
A widening gap between paying players and others
Concerns about future monetization direction

  1. Lack of Recognition for Long-Term Players
Veteran players who have supported the game since 2023 feel increasingly overlooked.

The April 7 update appears to prioritize returning or new players (e.g., “celebration servers”)
Players in CN who started later (around 2025) benefited from a more gradual and structured access to meta heroes
Long-term players, despite their loyalty and support over nearly 3 years, do not seem to receive equivalent advantages or recognition

This creates a perception that early and loyal players are being left behind, rather than rewarded.

Conclusion
This update feels less like an evolution and more like a shift in design philosophy:

From gradual progression → to diluted progression
From strategic planning → to increased randomness
From player loyalty → to new player acquisition focus
From accessibility → to monetization pressure

At this stage, even before launch, there is legitimate concern about long-term player experience and game balance.

Suggestion
It would be important to:

Maintain meaningful ways to target specific heroes
Avoid excessive dilution of the hero pool
Prevent power from being locked behind paywalls
Better recognize and reward long-term player loyalty
Reconsider pacing to preserve a healthy player experience

Otherwise, the update risks alienating a significant portion of the player base.

All valid points and it's what was going through my mind and probably most veteran players that don't have huge wallets or disposable incomes to dump on a game made for pleasure.

Can only support what is being said, game look like turning heavy p2w after getting all of us back...

Totally agree. Also, for CC, this game become a 12h/ day job. We cannot cover all things and the audience is low.

They are trying to bring people in and then they mention top up bonuses, that would be a huge turn off point for me if I was looking in as a new player. No one wants to install a game that tells you to "top up" pay. Increase rewards at least the equivalent of S1 reborn, 650 pulls just by login in. That was a huge advertising strategy but then you decide to reduce it down to 110 over seasons and focus on "promotions" to "top up". No matter how you call it is really disappointing. It's a huge letdown.

which is also bad, if we will make decision based on test server.

#

we can't plan playing like in role play game, couse things and banners are moving linear, we don't have propper info to pick right banners

well if you would have a businenss that going down, you would make a lot of promotions to bring players to the table.
Question is, why after 2 years of waiting we can't see season 5? was that so bad that they don't want to show it to us? We will land in s6 if you have notice notification

No, maintainng X servers where every single one has different timeline is just not a good idea. Players are confused, as others getting different results on "same things". It also makes a lot of problems for developers with introducing new events and content, as some new things may break something in e.g. S2 or S3, but not in S6. What else, people were living and planing 1-2 seasons ahead, cause they have seen it on CN server.

They decided to make 1 seasonal timeline for everyone, so Global (we) will be S6 and CN is also S6, but couple weeks faster. Imo this is very good move and everyone will benefit from it.

We have to miss 5 season and go to the 6 immediately. 5 season has too much key heroes. I prefer miss 4th season rather than 5th. Played 3 years and anyway account is broken now

Agree. The only problem is that we are not getting any compesation for skipping S5 - we should have double banners (S5 + S6) and maybe double top-ups or double dices rewads at least from everything for this one season.

final shale
#

we would get 900+ dices by playing s5 and would have enought dices to pick banners

Cn is around this time moment 😄

half season

I would say that dices is the least problems in this case, but missing all those banners, especially "First Damage Dealer from this banner will be a hero from new season" is just too much

The staff and dev team is aware of those valid points and was already preparing some benefits for the older servers as well, stay tuned for more infos as soon as i have them 🙂

We wont solve all issues, especially the "bulk of new stuff" but that will fix itself during the upcoming seasons as it is now 2 seasons squeezed in to one.

but it's not our fault.
Firstly they holded us so long on old re-seasoning S4, then devs decided to launch CN version and still were holding us on S4 and now we won't play s5 on new version, so we have to catch up distans from CN s6? That's crazy

Positive side:
they not trying to hide that the game is p2w 😄
Artifact which can be obtained only by buying it?! That’s a new lvl of greediness.

#

The rest of the issues gonna be compensated somehow I’m sure about that.
But paying for an artifact(which 100% not gonna be cheap as well) is ridiculous.. that’s where the game want to go?

Then can I skip all the season an get X number of exclusive heroes+ get the top1 rewards for the season for 1999.99?

blissful sage
#

I would prefer to get new arifact for $, than getting new heros and having to roll for it. At the end you need to pay for something.

#

Imo they should just put this Artifact in the some kind of premium pass and sell this pass for like 25-50$, not this kind of the BS event where you need to spend dragon crystals, that you are very limited to by season (in terms of double rewards). It was just bad move I guess

The biggest issue for those of us skipping Season 5 is missing out on essential hero banners we needed to stay competitive, but even if all of that were to go smoothly, the ultimate problem remains the terrible gear drop RNG and the huge number of useless gear sets

Of course, this refers to us F2P players against the P2W ones

I agree with what you say, and also they they should front at least a good amount of rewards for skipping s5. That would be in good faith if loyal global player base. In fact, a lot of us in global have been around since CBT before most CN players were even here. Going unrewarded leads to a sense of favoritism and abandonment for loyal people who have rode this ride up and down since the beginning.

# opaque burrow That Argument of competitivenes is invalid though, as EVERYONE in season 4 at th...

This statement ignores the fact that skipping a whole season of banners/rewards and then flooding everyone with a host of new units creates an even wider delta between f2p/low spenders and whales, even in the "same boat."

There are a lot of whales who will be able to immediately max out all of the banners and get all of the new heroes etc while f2p/lower spenders will have a much weaker roster and a much harder time building meaningfully strong teams because of a significantly more diluted hero pool.

#

One thing I think everyone should consider about the game in general is since Reborn it has been going through a paradigm shift.

And whether you like it or not, the Devs have been slowly shifting away from the original PvE experience to one that is more competitively pvp oriented.

Many things they have implemented to demonstrate that: Realm, Blade Colosseum, MagicChess, elements of Crisis Rally, and the forthcoming replacement for guild boss.

I say this to illustrate one point: looking at this from lens of what you originally liked about the game might be unwise. It seems like they working towards making a game that is highly competitive in a directly PVP sphere that is still very inclusive of f2p people (MagicChess and Blade Colosseum being the big examples so far)

#

Imo I love that direction for the game but I think naturally it will lead to people who came to the game for a more traditional gacha experience to be very disappointed.

Like others mentioned, this game is turning into a total P2W fest. The divide between spenders and free-to-play players is insane right now. It's only getting worse from here, which will drive F2P players away because there's just no point in playing anymore. They shouldn't have done this with the Relic. They should've added some quests instead, so that everyone could get it. yea we had 7 feathers but that is nothing...
