#Selective banners

And allows ALL players a chance of an exclusive, which is a good thing, so not restricted to the Krakens and Whales, and helps give them hope for getting half decent scores, as well as encourages them to support the game further as well……..exclusives should NOT be the realm of the Krakens and Whales only, and for the record, I pay too……thanks
The real pay to win is OUTSIDE of selectors, not selectors themselves.
Don't want to go back to the days when free to plays could only dream of ever having dps exclusives. It's not fun having 2/3 of an archetype and having that archetype be literally useless until you hit the lottery.
it's the same rng like before.. it just shifted.. before it was rng to get the exclusive.. now it's rng to high inspire/artefact them
not really RNG to inspire, just a matter of time and opportunity cost for those not willing to spend. Which is MUCH healthier than "spend everything you have and good luck getting anything that matters"
300 dices in Oak banner getting no Rook is no fun.
NOPE. THis is a terrible idea.
As f2p, selector banners are an amazing thing and it gives us motivation to complete everything we can for that extra dice to get to the 300
And if you dont like selectors then just use the normal banner for mystery
I would happily support your suggestion if it were truly the case that the only way heroes could be obtained was through pure luck. Unfortunately that's not the case as they can also be bought by dumping fat wads of cash. The selection banners are a faint crumb of hope to those that want to play a game based on skill rather than the contents of your wallet. I would happily join a Dragonheir server based on a subscription model where you could only buy purely cosmetic items - only then would luck be the prime factor of what heroes you could obtain, and the player rankings weren't a bad imitation of a rich list.
I feel you guys. But remember pre USA ban how amazing and captivating this game was. Hands down the best gacha on the market. Exclusives were so rare and it forced us to play the game with a large amount of different heroes to make it work. The replayability in this game was awesome. Finally getting an exclusive really felt like an achievement. Now everyone has one. And once everyone is special, no one is special 😁
They had no selective banners. It was truly rng to get an exclusive
My current server is literally just everyone using the same exact heroes for the same exact thing. It may feel good now, but it truly ruins the longevity of the game
I remember when epics and even rares were used. Not a single epic or rare is used now. Trust me when I say, this feeling of "we all deserve exclusives" ruins the longevity of the game.
Yeah but it's truly not pay to win with the current model. If anything, it's giving free to plays a way to fight back against whales. I think you might be viewing it through nostalgia, as all games seem better when we're new to them.
Personally I didn't enjoy being 3 seasons in, with 1-2 legendaries from every archetype at most, trying to make a composition work with 10% of the damage someone could get by getting lucky on their first 20 pull.
Thats depends on who you ask.
If you ask me, i don't see the reason to limit who can get the ex. The old system was NOT good. Nostalgia is great and all but it was more expensive and much more difficult especially for players who didn't spend.
We are in a much better place.
And inspirations are the difference here.
Speaking as a former ftp, I would never have considered spending a dime if there wasn’t a chance to be somewhat competitive. It felt lousy to get that one-in-a-million roll and not be able to get the rest of the team to make them useful. Now it’s more about picking and choosing which teams I want to play and knowing I’ll get them where I want them eventually.
