I started with the Steam version of the game, then went to the PC client to eliminate a step. I noticed the past two days that there is major lag in the PC client. Thought it could be my internet or even display settings. Checked both and played again with the same issue. I switched back to the Steam version and the lag does not exist. It is obvioulsy something in the PC Client causing the issue.

The PC Client isn't crashing, at least not yet. It just has major lag (slow transitions from one part to another, slowed and broken animations during battles, etc..) The Steam client does not have this issue.
I rarely have had this lagging issue on the PC version (not Steam) and it looks like the server is about to “fall over” but it never does and is rare!
Honestly, it just started for me, and it seems to have happened after an update. Before, when I first opened the client and hit play, it would initialize but fail to actually start the game. After that, I would hit play again, and it would start without issue and without lags. About 2 or 3 days ago, the client initialized as soon as I started it, then I could click play to start the game right away. But now it runs with lag. But, also like I said, I can run it on Steam without issue.

There won't be error logs without a crash, will there? Its not crashing, just lagging. Will the game log lags as well?
