Considering how long endless mode takes, it's sort of rude that we have to deal with boss RNG. For example the 50% less boss damage taken and dealt affix is obnoxious coupled with Vinyara as a boss.

This is compounded by the existence of the leaderboard. Through no fault of your own, you can lose a TON of time on a boss entirely because you were unlucky enough to get the wrong affixes. This feels very, very bad, and means that it may take several multi-hour runs just to attempt to reach your best time. That is OBNOXIOUS considering how much clicking is involved.

Some suggestions for the mode that would make it more fun and less time consumingly obnoxious:

-Battle skip function: We're doing every fight on auto and max speed anyway, just let us skip it.

-Affix rerolls: Let us expend currency to reroll boss affixes in case we get something that's a run ender.

-Raise the amount of available powerups for a maxed out talent tree from 4 to 5. Everyone is abusing a bug that lets you buy 2 schools and fill them out by going to a shop when you've got 3 schools picked out anyway. Just make it an even 5 and call it a day so we don't have to do so. It won't change times much, if at all!

-Powerup blacklisting: There is never a point where I will want rally or wild powerups when I'm running poison or dauntless. Let me blacklist them from appearing so I don't have to waste my limited rerolls on something that will literally require me to quit my run if I pick it.

-Less button presses: Let me skip nodes if I can't use them. If all my abilities are enhanced or I can't buy anything from the shop, I shouldn't have to click the node, then click continue forward. Just let me click the node and then instantly pick the next one.

-Allow us to skip the formation screen: There's 4-5 fights per section. Forcing us to click the node, wait for formation to load in, then click "fight" adds up to a lot of wrist strain and time wasting.

I agree and think that Ancestral Ruins needs fixed. I have no idea how people are speed running these levels when there are bosses that are practically impossible to beat unless you happen to pick the right heroes BEFORE you challenge, and you haev to get lucky enough to get the right combo of buffs (which you cannot switch in the selection screen). It is poorly designed, especially since players have no legitimate way to help their heroes out, like adding gear. It is completely based on luck and very little strategy - which makes it worse because the rest of the game is built around strategy.

it is mostly luck. Yes, there is some strategy involved, but very little because of the limitations. If there truly was more strategy involved, then content creators would give guides for Ancestral ruins. But each of the content creators that I have seen leave out Ancestral Ruins altogether. They will cover everything else in the game. What does that tell you?

in both my last speedruns I've only had to use it once (when sivesta pops up as boss)

Everything else I can agree with. All the clicking is very annoying

Someone else said the same thing, but that feature is not in my game. Checked numerous times at different points. I'm not the only one missing that feature. Not sure why. Even with the ability to switch bosses, that doesn't eliminate the poor mechanics on others. There should not be a boss that is impossible to kill just because you didn't get the right RNG for the level.

I also have two accounts and the switch boss feature is in neither.

This needs to just be simmable, it's not an enjoyable game mode in the least.

all the pve in the game right now apart from initially setting up a team for something is already way too auto

Elminster dragon boss is a good example. You can throw in any random team to get max rewards. Don't have to consider mechanics or planning or strategy at all, but then you spend 2 weeks going in every day to hit auto and wait for it to finish, for no reason

If all of the pve is like that, then what is the purpose of me playing the game, when it's all going to just be click enter > auto > collect rewards at a certain point

The only fun part of pve is first couple weeks while progressing in dungeons / dungeon speedruns / fae speedrun, but even that is going to lose it's flavour in season 2 when everybody has super maximized farming teams so the whole leaderboard will be 15s clears for almost every dungeon category

and fae will be completely auto-clear for the top 20-30 players on release

Ancestral ruins has the opportunity to actually be a fun game mode, but the way it's currently implemented is a flop

Once you make it past the first 2-3 stages it's just a click-fest timesink
