#new windows launcher, impossible to log in google account

nothing happened, i am stucked on this page after google authentification on chrome 🙂
I have been able to log in in Firefox using the new Windows Version, that part worked fine.
However
When trying to find the .exe Shortcut, it took ages to find the file location as no Shortcut was placed in the desktop.
In addition when I did find the Shortcut in the main folder, it wouldn’t run properly, only taking me to a black screen with an error code (sadly I should have screen shot this, but didn’t)
To fix this (yes I have fixed it) I had to RMB on the shortcut and choose “Run as Administrator” and then accept the windows request to allow it to make changes
Once this was done, it worked just fine
But perhaps the Devs can
A) make sure an option (or a default) is made to save a Shortcut on the Desktop
B) ensure the Shortcut runs without the need to have Administrator privileges set

This is the error, after going to log in to the game using the shortcut I placed on the Taskbar of my laptop, it appears to have forgotten the “run as administrator” setting I gave yesterday
So will do so again now
So i uninstalled both version (steam and windows) and relauch starter in admin mode and i dont have problem anymore !!! 🤔 (steam version is still uninstalled )

Because no shortcut was placed on the desktop where will the launcher be located please?

It seems that the game was downloaded directly to your desktop. You may not have selected a specific installation directory during setup.
Once the game is open, you can also choose to pin it to your taskbar for easier access.

When you installed the game, did you select the option to create a desktop shortcut?
If not, you can still manually create one by locating the launcher in the installation directory, right-clicking it, and selecting “Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut).

Please first check whether a shortcut exists in the Dragonheir installation directory and try sending it to your desktop. If there is no shortcut, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, check whether there is an option to create a desktop shortcut during the installation process, and provide a screenshot related to the issue.

Ok, will try it, but I did use the Default installation settings before, but thanks @slender spruce I will let you know more later
@slender spruce I have now uninstalled and deleted the held files after that deletion and re-installed a fresh copy from the Windows installer on the Website, followed all steps, but no shortcut appeared on the desktop, however, I have saved the shortcut showing in the task bar with the game open immediately after installation, and this appears to have held for now, but will see what happens tomorrow when I go in again 😜

Hi Flora, sorry, but I still have the same issue as before
I had to go back in to the main folder and the only way to start the programme correctly was to RMB and “run as administrator” on the icon in the folder, as you can’t from the Task Bar
Which is a bit of a pain if I have to do this each day

I didn’t see that there as I went straight into the Game folder when searching, after not having a shortcut appear on the desktop
I’m so sorry Flora, please apologise to your team for my having wasted their time for me 🙈
But could that aspect of the shortcut not appearing on the Desktop automatically (or by option) be fixed for future versions please?
One other thing, the game now defaults to USD as a currency in-game, can this also be looked into being changed, in favour of a choice of currencies too please?
Lastly, do the purchases from in-game links still qualify for the Midasbuy rewards and discounts, without logging into Midasbuy directly?
