Everyone's experienced it: after a week of farming, a great piece finally drops. That Atk% chest with Crit Rate and Crit damage, but it also has flat hp and flat def. The Crit damage gloves with crit rate and atk%, but they also have hp and def. Guess which one it's going to roll into every single time? Oh, we all know it's not the actual good stats. Thus, I propose: an equipment reset system. Gear forging is a huge step in the right direction, but it only covers one piece per season. We need a more reliable way to farm quality gear, and I think this would be it.
We can get a limited number of reset tickets/tokens/whatever (maybe even use multiple ascension mats for this purpose, since you get many more of those than you could possibly need for ascending gear anyway. Something like 10-20 ascension mats = 1 gear reset), that way when we get that excellent piece to finally drop, we have a real chance to get good rolls on it. You at least have some extra attempts at making your good gear into great gear without having to restart the farming process entirely. Our stamina is already incredibly finite, and the drop rate of great gear is quite low, so it'd be nice to have the ability to at least take another stab at rolling that great gear when it finally does drop if it rolls into bad stats to begin with.
Case in point, weeks of farming nothing but chests produced exactly one candidate, and then this happened:
