From what I have been seeing so far there have not been any changes to the seasonal model from a server segregation perspective.
Please consider not seperating the servers by seasons. I think this was one of the biggest mistakes the first version made. Keeping the community together and hyped at the same time is more important then anything else. When you put out new content that is cool and exciting and a new player comes to check it out and finds out they have to wait a year to see that content it is an immediate turnoff and that player will likely uninstall out of frustration.
AFK journey is a prime example of seasons done right. There is a base world and new players come in to and when they go through it (at a fast tracked non time gated pace) they get to join the new content. Going through the old world to catch up takes about 2 weeks of daily play. Then you can go back to the old seasons and experience the story if you want to with some minor rewards.
Additionally you engage FOMO getting players who have taken a break to log back in and finish up the season before it is gone forever. Please think about this as I know that if you copy what was done in the past the game will not last a year and I really want to see this game succeed.
