#Exclusion of Spanish in Dragonheir Launch: An Unfair Decision

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the recent confirmation that Dragonheir: Silent Gods will not launch with Spanish language support. This decision is not just disheartening—it is a clear sign of disregard towards the Spanish-speaking community, a community that has shown consistent support and enthusiasm for your project since its earliest stages.

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and the absence of a Spanish localization at launch sends a strong and painful message: we are not being considered. It feels as though our voices, our expectations, and our involvement throughout the game's promotion and beta phases have been completely ignored.

We are not casual observers. We are part of a large, passionate player base that has invested time, attention, and hope into this game. Many of us have followed every update, tested early versions, and promoted the game within our communities. And now, to be excluded in such a direct and visible way is not only unfair—it is alienating and demoralizing.

This decision damages the trust you have built with a significant segment of your global audience. It creates a rift between your product and a language group that could have been among your strongest allies. If this situation is not reconsidered, you risk losing not just players, but entire communities who feel overlooked and undervalued.

I sincerely urge you to rethink this approach. Spanish must be present from the very beginning. Anything less is a step backwards for inclusivity and respect. Myself, and many others in the Spanish-speaking world, will be forced to reconsider our support if this exclusion is maintained.

Please don’t let this be the reason you lose our support.

And i agree and i am not spanish speaking and even with the "small german community" we feel the same, its sad to drop any of the already existing languages

I'm going to take the liberty of talking as a player, trying to put aside my status as a Mod.

For me, it makes no sense to leave out communities that have been supporting the game for nearly two years, not only the Hispanic one, and even less so when practically the entire game is already translated into those languages.

I really hope they review this matter and take it into consideration.

Even more when you already have so much content already translated

Considering the time they have had, the low cost of translation due to the fact that there is already a language with the same alphabet in the game (English) and that more than enough money is raised by Hispanics to maintain the translation (I know 5 or 6 whales who with what they spend could maintain the translation... by themselves), I can only think that it has not been translated because they do not want it to, which hurts me as a faithful Hispanic player.

it is not understable when game is already translated, and btw why translate button disappeared? It makes impossible to talk with most russians

The game is theirs, and they can do whatever they want. With that respect, my time is my own, and I'm not going to waste it on a game I don't understand. It's a shame, because for me, it's the best game of its kind, without a doubt.

No spanish language, no spanish players, no spanish money.

It is trully unbelieveable that this game is not gonna be translated to the second most spoken language in the world considering all the spanish speaker players that they are gonna loose. If they are clever and appreciate their money and want to make a real huge impact with the reboot not losing the hispanic players along the way, they should reconsider that point, specially when there is an active translation of the game into spanish, which should make this process so much easier.

Hello!! 🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦
I've been a player since the game was released, and since I live in Spain and my language is Spanish, I would like this language to continue to appear in the new version, as it has until now, since if it is removed, I will also stop investing in this game. Greetings. 🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦

This is really bad news. The game was originally localised to several languages and the new revamped, redesigned game has lost the localisation? I think the Devs and Tencent can't grasp how important for the non English speaking community is to be able to play in their own language, with a game that has such a rich lore. They will lose a lot of support if they don't change this, that's for sure.

I mean we are a large community of Spanish speakers and you're going to tell me that you're going to release a game already translated without our language?? Seriously dragonheir?

I would add that it is not only Spanish, what about Portuguese, French, German , Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, Thai..we are losing all of them

It's incredible that a company dedicated to making money would lose it this way. Removing languages like Spanish in the middle of 2025 with the advancement of artificial intelligence is illogical business acumen. We hope you reconsider, as you're closing the door to many players who will either quit the game or not even start it at all. A total lack of respect for all the FTP and P2W players who had placed their trust in you. Terrible news.

Tencent, you have a great game in your hands, very strategic and enriching. But if you can't fully understand it because it's not in your native language, it loses all its essence. I'm sure you'll reconsider including both Spanish and other languages you're leaving out, so we can make history with the game and not end up as a failed attempt.

I hope you listen to this community and others, since you need us to keep the game growing.

🛑 A Message from the Spanish-speaking Community to the Dragonheir Team

I’m writing this with deep disappointment, but also with hope.

Dragonheir: Silent Gods is a brilliant game — strategic, immersive, full of lore. A game with the potential to build a global legacy. And yet, despite this global vision, one of the most spoken languages on Earth — Spanish — is being left behind.

Let me be clear: the Spanish-speaking community is not asking for a favor. We're asking for basic inclusion. Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world, the second by native speakers, and the current version of the game is already largely translated. The decision to remove Spanish support at this stage feels like more than a step back — it feels like abandonment.

This isn’t just about understanding text. It’s about respect, accessibility, and the value of community. Many of us have played since Season 1. We’ve promoted, tested, supported, and invested in the game — with time, money, and heart. Now, many are walking away. And many more will stop supporting financially if this decision stands.

We understand priorities. We understand business. But what we don’t understand is why a game that already had working translations would cut out entire communities without clear explanation or timeline.

So, we ask the developers — respectfully but firmly — to:

Clarify your intentions regarding language support. Is Spanish truly gone for good, or will it return?

Communicate clearly with the players who have supported you from day one.

Acknowledge the role Spanish-speaking players have played — and still want to play — in making Dragonheir a global success.

We still believe in this game. We still want to be part of its future. But only if we are truly part of it — in our language, with our voices.

We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking not to be erased.

I've been playing Dragonheir since it came out, like many others. We've endured a lot, including five content reruns. We've stuck it out because it's a great game. I've never endured this long in any other game. However, if the new version isn't coming out in Spanish, I'll probably end up abandoning it. Especially when most of the content has already been translated from the current version. Certainly, not a single euro more until they guarantee that it will be released in Spanish. If not, we'll have to look for alternatives...

I can’t believe that there isn’t a translation app that can’t be used in conjunction with the chat system already, likewise, although I am English, it is entirely reasonable for the MOST widely spoken languages in this world, to be represented fully on the game………not just Spanish, but those others too!

How is this even remotely a problem?
How entitled do you have to be to think Spanish should get any preferential treatment over let's say any of the Scandinavian countries?
Learn English like the rest of the world?

cosmic canopy
# fresh falcon How is this even remotely a problem? How entitled do you have to be to think Spa...

I understand your perspective, but it's not about entitlement — it's about scale and accessibility. Spanish is the second most spoken native language in the world, with over 480 million native speakers. That’s a huge portion of the global population.

Suggesting that Spanish shouldn't receive support while smaller language groups do can seem inconsistent, especially when many platforms strive to be as inclusive and globally accessible as possible. It’s not about replacing English — which is a global lingua franca — but about recognizing that millions of people could benefit from having content or tools available in their native language. That’s not privilege; that’s practicality.

Inclusivity and accessibility are not a zero-sum game.

fresh falcon
#

I get that, i just think it's better for those spanish speaking people to actually learn the globally accepted primary language of English, that way there would be no miscommunications in the future because everyone by default would understand each other.
And over time it would be a way more beneficial approach to anything global.
Learn English, the Primary global language and they'd have zero accessibility problem.
If they cannot learn English for whatever reason, maybe playing games is not what they should focus on..
Inclusivity is just another one of those buzz words that get's thrown around to sound morally superior imo.
How about we stop doing that and force people to become less complacent and entitled and actually learn something beneficial, like learning English?
English is not my native tongue but i can speak it and understand it on a very advanced level fluently today because i was forced to learn it to understand games back in the 80s

cosmic canopy
# fresh falcon I get that, i just think it's better for those spanish speaking people to actual...

Let’s set aside the moral or inclusive angle for a second and just look at this from a business standpoint.

Spanish is one of the largest markets in the world when it comes to gaming — not just in terms of raw numbers, but in engagement and spending. Over 480 million native speakers across Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. represent a huge opportunity for any game looking to grow globally.

The game is already being localized into Russian, Korean, and Chinese — which makes perfect sense given their markets. But if you’re targeting global reach and long-term growth, leaving out Spanish is a missed opportunity, plain and simple.

Also, saying “everyone should just learn English” sounds practical on the surface, but it’s honestly a short-sighted take. Not everyone has access to the same resources, and not every game should rely on a single-language audience to thrive.

If the goal is global success, ignoring one of the biggest native-speaking gaming communities out there just isn't smart strategy.

fresh falcon
#

I don't and can't argue with that premise from a business standpoint.
I just don't think people should go about it as if they have the automatic right to have the game translated to their language.
But i get what you are saying and ofc making profit is what you want if you make a game 🙂
