You need to confirm the region where your Google Store is located. Open Play Store-Account-Settings-General-Account and Device Preferences. You can see the account region in the Country/Region and Profile item. You must be in a non-US, non-Taiwan, and non-Russian region to make purchases.
Ok I’m trying to figure this out. Do you help people from the US who use a vpn or is that frowned upon?
I bought my android in the US so I think that’s why the Google play store has my location as the US
But even if I physically am in London, it still says US in the play store
It says that my Google play store account cant change its location until a whole year goes by.
How am I supposed to pay for stuff???

According to Google, the only way to change my region is to physically be in the region and also to have a payment option from that region. This was not the case with my iOS device I was using before migration.
