They are different chests, thats why they dont stack, the Dame ones do stack though (see the small numbers)

Yes but they don’t then “up the rarity” of the hero gained which I think is the reason for the suggestion the poster made, I have all of the rare hero’s and for the small amount of essence we gain from duplicates it’s almost pointless

I still find this accumulation of unusable chests useless.

@crisp vortex just use them up and get the essence mate, a pain I grant you, but no point them gathering dust lol

Don't think they ever be willing to upgrade chests to epic rarity so I'll second the suggestion above.
