Because having one dominant Vortex champ means that whales will whale until they get that champ.
They don't care about competition, diversity, or options.

There was a short doc somewhere on YT which explains that most gatcha games are funded by the small amount of whales and not by tons of small time spenders. That's why when marvel strike force team made fun of their biggest whale on accident, they where in emergency mode and started pampering to him as if he was their boss.
