First time i approached this section i was teleport to another location. I then spoke to an elf and was asked to pick a profession.
I closed the game so i could look into the impact profession would have before i chose one but upon opening the game again i was put back to the first area and the teleport is unavailable
Every path is a dead end and so i can't continue the game
I'm hoping i'm not overlooking something simple and wasting your time

I managed to find an answer to the problem.
I eventually found an option for the map and saw a fast travel option. Was able to use that to move myself to move myself from the location that had no exits.
