Merging Dragonheir servers offers several advantages that can significantly enhance the overall player experience and improve the longevity of the game.

Firstly, server merging promotes a larger and more vibrant player community. Consolidating players from different timelines and seasons onto a single server fosters social interactions, encourages the formation of guilds, and enhances cooperative gameplay opportunities.

Secondly, merging servers helps address population imbalances. By creating a more balanced distribution of players across servers, waiting times are reduced, group activities become more accessible, and PvP competition becomes fairer and more enjoyable.

Additionally, server merging revitalizes older content and game areas. Players from different timelines can rediscover and explore older content together, ensuring that all aspects of the game remain relevant and engaging for both new and veteran players.

Moreover, merging servers can lead to a more dynamic and competitive environment, particularly in PvP and endgame content. Consolidating skilled players raises the overall level of competition, fostering a healthy competitive scene and attracting new players eager to test their skills.

Overall, merging Dragonheir servers aligns with the goal of creating a thriving and engaging gaming environment, strengthening the player base, improving gameplay experiences, and sustaining the game's success in the online gaming landscape.

Great post op, sadly these devs dont listen, discord is full individuals that cant handle any critism of the game. This current season system is only gonna become more of a circus show, people gonna have to wait years for seasons for what? new champs and no new content kek. This game is dying and its a fact, its not growing and numbers reflect this in game, online communities etc. Maybe some people dont want other to play this game so they can feel special about their number 50 spot on ranking when theres only 100 people playing the game on that server lol.

you will be surprised how much people are willing to pay if it guarantees having hold on top 10 position. due to how time gated this game is, its not really possible to megalodon spend to catch up to the top in the game but if they start in a new server the top position can be theirs.

while not exactly the same game genre, take ragnarok online for example. it also has many servers and inactive servers gets merged during maintenance. lots of the top guild and spenders are unwilling to start in an old server because it is already dominated by huge whales in the old server. the existing whale guilds will not tolerate new whale guilds trying to scramble up the leaderboard and often times this means the new whale guild has to deal with multiple whale guilds ganging up on them in PvP.

just saying that these people occupying the top 10 spot might be spending so much that it beats 1000 people paying for the 99c epic chest and this might be the reason why the game is still the way it is server wise.

Plus, there's a guy on my server RN who's had a slow learning curve and low rolls. He's fallen way behind and feels really bad about that. He won't be trying to redo all that, though, it's been stressful for him... so he could otherwise become a lost player if this was the only server. But the next season is coming up soon, so then he'll get merged with those of a similar rank/activity level as him with how season-up says it'll do that. While not quite a fresh start it will be sorta like a mini-fresh start. He'll still get to progress in the story and activities but start out in it with the same chances as everyone else around him, and possibly have a higher enjoyment this next time around since the folks around him would be more similar in rank-climbing speed.

I do think folks wavering along the edge of a higher/lower split should maybe get to choose, though. It'd allow friends to stick together better. And somebody wanting to become more aggressive or wanting to take a break next season, could do so.
