Hey, today i ran vortex several times with my team (dps gerthyn & bleddyn). I was doing about 30-32m dmg. Then i recognized that Bleddyns ult wasnt working to buff gerthin.
When i looked at my gearing and stats, i saw that bleddyns atk was higher than gerthyns.

After reducing it, the buffs worked fine and i reached 40m.
So im suggesting that
a) the skill description is wrong or badly translated (gives xx to himself and the iceblast ally with the highest ask)
or b) he counts himself as "ally" of himself 😉

If its intended this way, feel free to close this 🙂

Every time skill mentions ally it includes hero himself. Like you can check Welby (Rare Rally hero) alone vs dummies and you'll see he gives rally to himself. The trick is that if there is a choice the skills will prioritize other heroes, only when there are no heroes that the skill could be applied to then it chooses the hero himself.

Yup, there are a couple of exceptions where it explicitly excludes the hero, such as Nord

Then the description is just a bit misleading. (In my opinion) 🙂 never knew that he could target himself twice at the same time if the Text sais "self AND highest atk ib ally". But i get your point.
