In 23 years spent in both the game industry and cfx industry technology, I do not remember seing anything as moronic as the resurrection mechanism in this game. And there is a massive amount of lazy coding in there resulting in factions balance issues, content breaking skills, fruit loop aggro control and idiotic AI behaviour,…. All of them big like the nose in the middle of the face on almost all score boards and game modes for 2 seasons now.
But nothing comes near the level of imbecility it took to come up with the resurrection skills as it has been released and still is. What kind of software engineering and testing let something like that go from beta to alpha and then get released without raising a red flag on how it will be game breaking and more importantly frustrating gameplay? Resurrecting an entire squad, almost full health with more defence buffs than before they died, preserving most of their action bar and all persistent stacking buffs… all of that on a 20s cycle and unlimited in time. I just don’t get it because it is beyond anything stupid I have seen in my life as a gamer and a veteran of the game industry.
Do yourselves a favour and limit the amount of resurrection per fight to 1 time per party member. That is still facing 5+4 enemies instead of 5. Allowing a squad that dies again and again and still wins on time out after 20 death is a F.ing disgrace.
