Just wanted to say, pretty disappointed in the devs for not fixing the win conditions in pvp in season 2. Still lose despite killing 3 on their team, and none on mine, but because the remaining 2 are Garius and another healer and spread out enough that i cant hit both, I lose. Dumb.

Totally agree with that diagnosis. I suggested banning from pvp mode the characters that are over-used, and I also think stall teams should be tackled by increasing the damage and reducing the heal the longer a fight lasts

Skill issue sounds like. Bring heal prevent, defense down and have sufficient damage to burst garius or control him with stun/taunt before he can heal? I do it everyday all day using that “broken rare hero sigrid” from the hilarious other stupid “suggestion” thread. Learn the game, bring the right units to counter those on the enemy team (pvp arena?) and there you go! And stop opening suggestion threads about garbage.

Agreed that there should definitely be an overtime to force a decision on these stall fights. There have been many situations where I'm slowly winning and will eventually kill all their units, but since it took so long the time runs out. Stall meta is very boring and rewards players for building turtle teams. With new champs that can prolong fights easier and better gearsets for stacking resistance, it's very hard to break through a proper stall team unless you have specific champs. No, sigrid can't clear a true stall team. Maybe a low ranking one, but a fully geared garius / felosia / phaessa / elecebre team is not going to die to anything except a +5 phiilto probably XD

My recommendation would be, instead of fight ending at 5 minutes, it goes into overtime, where every 20 seconds healing and shielding and cc is reduced, until eventually the fight ends.

If the stall team on defense makes it to 5 minutes, they lose only half (or maybe none) of the points they would typically lose for a loss, but if the offense clears them in overtime, then they will gain only half of the points usually given for a win.

Also, I don't even want to imagine what teams will look like when ardreth is available. It's going to get a lot worse.

And acilia how can i forget about her. Radiant / Ice teams got so many tools to stall fights this season if you have the champs for it. For somebody who is low spend or f2p these teams are impossible to beat in most cases.

“Skill issues” to fight stall teams? 🤡

I don’t even run a heal except Garius and nothing kills my team… . Throw a heal in there and I’d like you see “burn” my Garius.

Stall teams are boring, it’s not a secret. Just reduce heal by 25-30% in pvp. No need to change champs themselves.

I think stall team should still be a viable strategy for saving points. Some players pull good stall champs and no good dps champs, so let them stall the fight, but after 5 minutes there needs to be a forced decision imo. Best way to do that I think is overtime where healing and shielding and possibly cc is reduced until the fight ends.

Stall player maybe doesn't get to save as many points on his defense loss, but offensive winner maybe doesn't win as many points for an offense win, either, because he couldn't clear the team before overtime.

Better to expand the number of available strategies rather than restricting them unnecessarily

Removing the forced auto battle could be a way to fix this abuse of time out win. Since we would be able to time our attacks to take down some problematic opponents.
Overall the arena is poorly balanced. But PvP is always the most competitive aspect of these game and a great incentive to spend money due to repeated frustration (or to quit the game 😝).
Time out strategies are a pain in the &$** in many similar games as well as balance issues… 🤷🏻‍♂️

make it a draw w/ both teams gaining 50% of the points

they have draw on online arena anyways.. experienced draw twice bec none of us eliminated each others entire team and timer ends, apply it on offline arena too

In all games I have played, this is by far the worse pvp oriented game mode. In most games you have a choice to manual or auto, the mechanics by auto here is simply stupid. And the player that kills most of its opponents should be the winner. Not mostly an auto win for the defender...this mode is really boring and stupid, giving the player zero options about EVERYTHING!

Easy fix for this. change auto only to how the rest of the game works. Not being able to control the characters is why i dont do arena or alliance battles.
