That's not the issue, that's changing totally an ability. The issue to adress is fixing the bug of the already existing ultimate skill
fixing the bug should happen, but don't you want her changed to better???
this way she will heal your tank or maybe one more melee at best? then she is not viable to be used in vortex or continental bosses or endgame boss, the most important content in the entire game, because she will heal 1-2 heroes. who wants that??? then the other 3-4 in your team will be 1-shot ny the bosses ultimate because she didn't heal them
That will not change to better, that will change to insane. It's not supposed like that. She is already giga strong if the bug got fixed, improving her ultimate will be totally no broken and not right

she is not a true dps and never will be, her skills will never do that 😄

She is a debuffer that doesn't need accuracy, and an hybrid dps healer scaling on enlight, that means u can go full healing/dps with no need of accuracy. It's one of the best designed character at all, anyway this is a bug post not a balance post. So no reason to talk about this here

I thought she is a good lego but after I used her in vortex it turned out to be a useless one without any heal at all (in other pve content it heals sometimes when there is a lot of enemies) but in vortex it does 0 heals like the enemy is too far (?) I hope they fix it or else its more of an epic with atak penalty and nothing else

Upon careful examination and testing, we found that the ultimate ability of the character in question functions correctly. In the video, it appears that during the encounter with the last boss, the healing effect targets only Durango due to the boss unit's positioning.
Additionally, in the Vortex, the healing ability is affected by the placement of the Sea Deity unit. As a result, there are no nearby allied heroes to target for healing, explaining the lack of healing in that scenario.

The vortex part has to be a joke 🤣
so that means that she will never be able to heal more than one melee hero, because she healed only Durango? and on Vortex it means she will never be able to heal anyone?
and not just heal, her cleanse is also connected to the same skill, so she will either cleanse/heal 1 target or no one depending on the situation. so she can apply atk penalty and that is it? no one will take her into fight, because people will take a healer that can heal/cleanse everyone, like Gillian or Ascilia, and no one will take her only for attack penalty and kick out their healer/support for that. Most tanks can apply it, or the support that is applying def penalty from Witch's remains, even tanks without atk penalty will take Iron Maiden.
This is a pure buls hit answer. So make a champion completely useless in one of the main content because u designed bad the position of the boss? How is that even a possibility
If vicinity is a mechanics, the vortex boss is bad designed with 2 tiles distance
This is an awful response, you've (not personally yourself) have made a great hero essentially redundant in a lot of content where she'd shine.
This answer makes her useless as a healer. You can as well remove the healing part from her ult description and it won't change a thing now.

And it's totally meaningless about Rose, like a melee character, who has a range of 1 square, reaches Malinus/Vortice and her ability doesn't reach the characters, another thing the description says "around", not from the center of the boss's hit box, around it is all the space that surrounds the opponent's hit box. Honestly, the company has to take action about this, because the character is being a real "bait". I invested everything in it myself, heliolites and Scrolls, for it simply not to work.

Absolutely unfair that the effect in Vortex battle doesn't correspond to the description. As things stand, the character is useless anywhere.
The least would be to rework the spell if the coding of the vortex battle doesn't enable it to have the expected effects (as stated in the description).
Plan B is a legendary scrolls refund to the unfortunates who foolishly trusted the spell description to be true.

Regarding Rose healing bug.
in Vortex , because of the positioning of Sea Deity, there are actually no teammates near Sea Deity, it just looks like there are teammates near Sea Deity.Because of the visual error, You guys thought that the heroes in the front row were very close to Sea Deity. In fact, the heroes in the front row were far away from Sea Deity . So Rose's heal won't work in Vortex.
Regarding the issue of it only goes to durango, It is also because of the position of the Boss. There is only Durango near the Boss.
Like in this picture attached.
How do the melee heroes even attack then when they are 'far away from Sea Deity', they are only supposed to be able to attack in melee range. If this is the case, then make it so that no heroes can attack with melee abilities in Vortex, see how that works out. This is such a cop out response. Rose's heal and cleanse won't work properly in any dungeon with distance or a buffer around the boss...

You are failing to admit that you have a flawed boss in the game and won't change him, which leaves Rose useless!!!
a lot of the community as well as content creators are complaining that you should not be making new heroes until you rework or buff the old ones which are bad and no one uses them anywhere, for example Talwer.
This is a GAcha game, and summoning heroes is pure RNG. So if I get an exclusive hero that is strong, and I did get him today :), and another player gets Rose or Talwer, they will be in a much worse position than me, and maybe we invested the same number or heliolite dice. How is that fair to the other player who ended up with a bad legendary?
Please buff old heroes, or new ones like Rose, and try to balance the game.
You have literally admitted that Vortex boss if far away from the heroes, and that flaw needs to be fixed as it can bring many more mistakes in the future with the upcoming heroes

Increasing the radius of Rose's heal/cleanse should resolve the community's issues with her. Whether that's to 2 squares or a diamond shaped 3 squares, not sure (there's a balance consideration) but the way she works right now is very lame. I want my scrolls back if you're going to leave it the way it is
There is no need to buff her radius, just remove the 2 empty tiles on vortex and consider all the tiles where melee can attack “ around “ the bosses

We understand your explanation and the mechanism, this is very similar to the D&D board game, each square is 5 feet, however, the error is in relation to the description, which led us to believe what is written and "buy" the idea , invest in it. Here in my country, if a company puts the wrong "price" on a product and advertises it, it is obliged to "sell" it at the advertised price, the customer is not to blame for the company's error. The fair thing would be: either correct the text and compensate the players or follow what is written: "AROUND", it is understood that around is around the HIT BOX, not the central point. Analyzing from the D&D point of view, Malinus is Huge or Colossal, a hit box of 15ftx15ft (3x3 squares) or 20ftx20ft (4x4 squares), therefore, around it would be 1 square more or 5 feet.
If Characters are considered far away from sea deity, then why is this not refelcted in bonus damage from the "Queen's Fan" artifact?
You keep saying the hero is not meeting players expectation but the reality is the character is not working as it is worded. At this point the character should either:
A. Be re-worked to fit the description
B. Have all skill scrolls invested by players refunded and the character removed from the pool until a different fix is found.
You cannot blame the boss positioning/hit box when his positioning has been disproven by multiple factors. IE: Melee can hit the boss, Queen's fan.

I agree with All points above and will add that if Rose is intended to be a healer, making her unable to perform her healing in the most important situations for healing effectively makes her unusable which is unacceptable. As was mentioned above if D&D mechanics are being used the heal as it is stated heals all ally’s in a 5 foot radius. If a melee character is able to hit without a “reach” weapon then it is 100% within a 5 foot radius and thus should be effected by the heal. Suggesting the boss positions place them “too far away” is rather insane and completely against all game mechanics let alone D&D mechanics. If melee can hit then the heal should be able to hit. Her healing is not that strong and being that she is legendary allowed her to heal all adjacent hero’s as her skill actually states is perfectly fine.
TLDR: please fix this bug so we can enjoy and use this hero and not have to dump her in the bin as an unusable waste of a heliolite die.
Also as a counter to your post above about healing working on a single hero on the regular boss fights…..you are incorrect… none of the melee are getting heals in that screen shot on the fire domain boss…

The issue is boss center points are further back than others but you still have the limitation of how close you get.

But take the elemental bosses for example:

So only the tank gets healed in that occasion. Vortex is even FURTHER back, so no heals happen.
Like we did testing a week? ago with a few of us who unlocked her. Its a game limitation. Either they have to recode Rose to heal in a diff way, or she is what she is.
Ah I see what you mean now. So in my case on the fire boss because I have Drizzt and Garius offset to avoid the extra damage none of them are front and centre. In which case we are back to, they really need to fix Rose.
You keep repeating about the "Unique" position of the Vortex boss, when the same problem is present even in the Video i provided at start. The vortex boss position is not Unique, is wrong. Since melee can hit it, the 2 empty cell around the boss are totally meaningless.
I see two possible solutions, recode rose’s heal to operate slightly different. Maybe one big heal or just make it heal all hero’s anyway. Or fix all the hit boxes for the bosses. Till then rose is only useful in maybe goblin and barely arena.
Tbh, the fix is kinda easy, making the " around " of the boss every cell where melee can hit it. like it should be

Melee in general tend to suffer because of aoe so it’s not really that op to have a little extra healing thrown their way. Rose has the potential of being very very good if they fix this. Otherwise I fear there will be better options to take her place.

Yes, please fix her. Neither her healing or cleanse works
This hero is current garbage and needs an actual fix. These responses are frustrating. She has only one area of the game where her kit would be useful and it's essentially bugged. There's no reason the Tempest Boss shouldn't allow any characters to be adjacent to it. Please fix.
+1 we leveled up thinking about her abilities explanation, but doesn’t work on many dungeons.
The reality is it doesn’t work as written on any dungeons and on most it doesn’t work at all. And the suggestion that it has to do with positioning…. Well if melee can hit it than logic would dictate they are in range.
The kit in this hero is by no means overpowered even if it was working properly so why not just make it work the way it’s been worded.

Yea, it's probably time to start reporting/reviewing the game for this.
This is a common case for a boss hitbox in most games:
If it is a square larger than 1x1, then all the boundaries of this square are a melee zone.
The "realism" of the Vortex boss sounds like an extremely bad joke, where is the logic? Then cancel all melee heroes on big bosses and make artifacts like the Queen's Fan work from the center of the boss, not from the edge of the hitbox.
Developers should be consistent, they want to make the game realistic or want it to be playable.

It’s easier to change a description and leave a champion useless, than fix an abnormus error in the coding of Vortex and other bosses positioning i guess

If we say rose aoe on ult is a 3x3
and a boss is a 7x7
Rose ult will target the very center of the 7x7 and as such the 3x3 never reaches anyone

The only real fix for what ur wanting without expanding rose ult is to change where the true target is of said boss, but still is wonky to work with

i think the easiest fix might be to change the true target within these larger enemies(rot/vortex) to be a tile within melee distance of our units. Animation changes may be required to compensate

She had close to 0 accuracy and boss need over 120 but she landed it every time
So i guess stuff like, attack up, enlight up, temporary one works
It kinda makes sense because enlight up is a part of her kit

I hope so. I'm kinda excited to see their response. It'll most likely dictate how they'll deal with similar problems in the future. If they only reword her ultimate, I'm gonna be pretty annoyed.
This would probably be the type of response that would cause me to forever stop spending on the game.
Hopefully the devs and people interacting with this bug realize it's more than one champ not working properly. It's becoming a flagstone on how we can expect future service and how the game respects the money people spend.

Pseudo code fix:
IF monster is a boss and its body occupies more than 1 tile, then:
For any ally occupying the row 1 tile in front of the monster, allow Rose's heal and dispel to work on that ally

Doesnt sound that weird, it does seem like it should affect the spaces adjacent to the bosses.
Most bosses dont move, so they could have the effect just check for specific spaces
But ur creating a bandaid fix that then needs to be applied to several things. Fixing the core issue is simpler.
This issue is also one that would have arisen at copper due to where the hit boxes were on that one.

This is such a bs response from them. Yes, she is working as intended. What is clearly NOT working as intended is what the game considers to be "around the random enemy", which would apply to more than just her. it's a fundamental issue with the game not recognizing squares that are clearly around an enemy as being around an enemy.
I agree. I argued till I was blue in the fingers and they just don't see the issue. They argued the boss is working correctly, she is working as intended and outside of refunding scrolls they won't do anything. I have a +5 Rose I will not use because there's just better options for everything in game, and the one place she potentially REALLY had some value, they won't correct/fix.

This is going to cause issues in the future too, unless they never again release a legendary that only effects around an enemy. For example, does that mean that units like berengar - who only affect enemies around them (until max inspiration) - are also not working properly on larger enemies? I can't believe they're being so pig headed about this. I guess it'll take a massive chinese audience to complain for them to do anything about it.

I asked to trade the duplicates for other legendary duplicates and I'd take the L on the first Rose summon and that was declined.
If you take each Rose summon at a value of pity, I have $1,050 worth of unusable character on my roster just from her.
App store review was changed to a 1⭐️ with an explanation. I won't be spending further on this game while this behavior is allowed from the Dev team and support staff.
And if there is no solution either, the next step is for all those who have spent money to get/improve Rose to request a refund of the money invested in their respective store...
Because when you spend REAL money, things should work just as advertised. And with Rose, it is not like that.

The issue here is: all we are aware of is that the devs know and are actively ignoring the issue - or claim the issue is "as intended". We genuinely can't believe that the devs actually thought this issue is intended, since it seems so illogical. We only know what has been forwarded by you and your team.
If the devs are actually working on it, all we need to know is that they are actively working on it - specifically that they are looking to resolve the issue with a benefit to the players (ie: fix all skills with this situational requirement - OR - change the skills that use this situational requirement to no longer use this situational requirement - all while providing compensation for affected players). One of the main issues is that this NEW -Legendary- hero is essentially/comparatively useless as is.
Saying that the devs are actively engaging in enhancing the game and incorporating insights is all well and good, but we are not asking for an enhancement or insight incorporation here. This is just a collective request to fix a unit. The longer this takes without any kind of positive dev response (ie: a statement stating: "we're working on it" - ideally with an ETA) the more upset affected users will be.
Exactly. What the devs plan to do is more important than knowing they are aware. Get some direction on how to actually reply to these requests please, it's clear you're not allowed to weigh in and this is all you can say. The company as a whole should have some idea on what they are going to do.
Until then it's going to cause disgruntled players, and people will quit or stop spending. And it's going to keep happening as more people reach Season 2 and realize the problem. It won't just go away, only the players will.
Hell, you have multiple content creators making specific videos about that. Have that ever happened for the game? No. People complained about Utior, they wished for more usefuless in some champs, but this one stands out. Your competitors, Raid Shadow Legends, would have fixed this or at least annouced a plan.

this is a problem, but also they need to make it clear on the spell description. this is not the only unit with this kind of wording, or using the word "around". Berengar is also "around" him - and now i'm not sure his passive actually works on the tempest boss. if it doesn, then rose doesn't make sense again.
Again, I'd say that's human error due to assumption as this is the only skill in the game afaik that specifically states "around" an enemy .. rather than having a visible aoe grid or stating "in range"

The issue here is simple. Let’s ignore the wording since I’m sure we can all agree it’s worded poorly. Let’s look at how the skill operates and the inconsistency of its operation. If I have an enemy that occupies 1 grid square(by indication a 5ft square according to their D&D mechanics emulation) when her skill hits it heals all allies in the 8 surrounding squares unless they occupy a square on the outer edge of the grid. At that point it hits the 3 squares on the front and 1 on each side. This would indicate the skill hits the middle square and radiates outward. Now we move to boss fights like the fire/frost domain. If it hits the boss it seems to heal the square directly in front but not the two diagonal. This does not follow the same rules as the previous example. You can argue that in those cases the boss has a larger area in which it occupies, But that doesn’t make sense because if the boss occupies a 4 to 9 square grid placement the radiating heal should still hit more than the front box or not hit anything in front of it at all. Now we look at the vortex boss.
The skill, based on previous examples, suggests it hits 1 grid square. Let’s suggest the boss occupies 9 squares and the skill hits the middle. This might account for it not healing anyone in melee range but still does not line up with the other bosses. On a side note… the harpy heals all melee occupying the 3 squares directly in front of it….. again inconsistent with other bosses. TLDR: the mechanics of the skill do not operate on a logical or consistent basis regardless of how it is worded and in most areas the heal seems to radiate on a 9 grid square radius. In boss fights in sometimes operates on a 9 square radius and others a + radius. On the vortex it doesn’t radiate at all and thus only makes it frustrating and likely bugged.

I mentioned that above. Even that post says her passive skill ensures enemies can’t resist debuffs if her buffed allies where her skill specifically says it’s from her own debuffs while she is buffed.

Yes, it's nearly been a month now since the issue was officially raised.. They've run a rose selective banner, nothing. Vortex now has defense break, nothing. World bosses are arriving this week, nothing. We need to know what is happening to this hero so we know what to spend our limited resources on. For a 3 month seasonal game, taking 1 month to address a huge unit issue is really 💩 Give us a recall or fix Rose.
If they don't fix Rose, then at least change the bosses to occupy at most 1 tile, so that Rose's heal and dispel will work

Tldr: atm Rose is trash with ulti bugged against vortex and other bosses, inconsistent with description. The issue's been widely reported nearly a month ago, team said something along "works as intended"... Not worth investing in Rose unless he ulti in boss fights gets fixed or reworked.

For newcomers to this bug report who tldr: I just need to refresh this official reply from the dev. One of the biggest insults to players intelligence ever. They say the Vortex boss is too far away from the heroes, so Roses ranged heal cant reach them.....and yet as we all know, Melee heroes can hit the boss.
Isn't it common sense that melee=close range....
Dev team looks absolutely clueless... It seems that in their heads, chargebacks and review bombings are better than fixing their fudging mistake's consequences.

I finally read through this thread and yeah, it's completely frustrating. We should at least be able to fully reset her and get books back. At least give the community a FREE Oblivion scroll to reset skills and get the scrolls back. The second I pulled her on day 1 of the season, I booked her because she sounded perfect for many situations, mainly Vortex & Rot; the 2 areas she cannot work in because "the bosses are too big/far away". This literally makes no sense if melee heroes can hit them.
Maybe they will actually do something if more of the content creators chime in. Feels like they have ignored and overlooked most of this thread unfortunately.

Keep in mind, you responded to my reponse to the potential of them completely removing Rose in her entirety. If the devs remove a legendary from those who pulled her, those affected should all expect a legendary in return. I doubt they'll actually remove rose.
If u guys want to be far more upset, i heard from guys in the Pioner club, the subdiscord/group of whales and kraken with devs aswell, that they talk about this issue aswell, and to them is given the option to get all the scroll back. only reason i still have hope is because season 2 has been so bad with bugs that I can honestly assume they really just don't have time for Rose yet, since the change they would need to make is likely a problem with a fundamental combat system (they should really just change it to an AOE heal, but that's unlikely to happen too).

I have stuck to not spending an additional penny since the update of the conversation I had with the pioneer club, I hope the others claiming to do the same have as well. They quite frankly aren't deserving of it at this point.

They offered to unscroll her, but she's unscrolled. I asked to trade the dupes for other dupes to which they refused.
I asked if they are planning on fixing her and they stated she is working as intended. I brought up everything in this thread, repeatedly and it was ignored, while they just reiterated she is working as intended and that they are considering re-wording her. They stated that there is nothing wrong with the vortex boss or how her ability works with the vortex boss.
I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but may be wrong. That is the gist of the convo though.

Thank you for the reminder not to spend any $ on this game until the issue is acknowledged and fixed. Rewording takes 5 mins and should have been done many weeks ago, but it doesn't do anything for us who have been and are being fooled with each passing day. In a competitve game, losing 8 kegendary scroll has an impact.
I've never been a big spender, but as a matter of principle I've been sticking to this rule since this issue aRose 😉

The code fix should be very simple, 2hr to fix the code, 2hr to unit test, and 4hr for QA testing should suffice.

Well guys, i just tested it and Rose finally works. Although the range is a bit weird, the heal/dispel only hits the front/left most heroes. I'll have to experiment more with the positioning.

Yes but it's just my observation that she prefers to heal the left before the right. Its not scientific, since I can't compute who has the lowest hp during combat.

Is Rose viable and is she a good champion? I don't dispute it, it seems that way to me.
But it's certainly not what was implied when it came out... And that's why many people decided to spend resources on her.
That is, in a situation where two tanks have lost 70k hp each out of 100k hp, Rose will heal two 100% healthy range DPS, just because their current health is equal to their max health and less than 30k hp. Nice
Why can't you use the percentage of current hp instead of the absolute value of current hp?
That's no good either. Because then the tank will always get healed rather than the dps, because tanks usually get hit/hurt the most.
I guess the most we can do is really just max her enlightenment so she spams more.
in most situations, you'd only have 1 hp tank, so her skill will probably be more useful than it was before.
In most situations, range dps has the least amount of hp. And they will be needlessly healed at full health until the rest of the team's health drops to their level

What you're saying is definitely true. But i prefer this way rather than % of hp. Because then it would just heal tanks. But in vortex/rot/dragons, the bosses hit all heroes anyway, so I rather the softy dps get more priority.
But the point is, as I understand it, that now she heals heroes that are at full HP while tank is dying. That does not sound a way to go.
If only they left it the way they SHOULD have left it, it would have been easier and would have caused less problems...

gonna be honest, i read that in an opposite way (as if you were implying the tanks would be healed). the only solution i can think of is to ensure all units have some reasonable (40-50k+) amount of HP, but thats probably not optimal for most situations.
he problem is completely different, it does not remove penalties from the tank and other fatter characters
in conclusion, she has changed from a unit that a small percentage of people use because of her tank healing in non-boss stages, to a unit that doesn't even do that effectively. useful in VERY niche situations. But at least the description matches the unit this time.

Yeah, the game is not consistent on their HP nomenclature. In some cases they use Lowest HP Percentage (Monelisse set) and some just Lowest HP (Zhar’Loth and Estella seemed to be percentage based), but I think Lowest HP should be nominal (among damaged units) and Lowest HP Percentage should be the percentage if they want to have both, otherwise the other cases of Lowest HP on characters seem to be percentage based
Okay I tested Rose and Voresh in Curse multiple times.
Rose heals the lowest CURRENT hp, whether they are damaged or not.
Voresh heals the lowest CURRENTLY DAMAGED hp (So, lowest % health)
To clarify:
Beldelle has 50000 health and is undamaged
Rose has 45000 Health and is undamaged
Voresh has 54000 Health and is undamaged
Garius has 58000 / 70000 health and is damaged
Voresh heals Garius
Rose heals Rose and Beldelle

Both descriptions read the same in the skills on the english version, as attached in this message. Is there a way to code Rose's heal from her ultimate skill to work like Voresh's passive skill? I think this would make people happy.
Have u tested if its just because garius is the only damaged one?
Generally most healing skills will target and heal the lowest flat hp unit aslong as their not max hp, nothing to do with %s.
It may be rose just doesnt check if their full hp or not
Literally what I tested. Garius would be down HP, but she would still heal the other two while they are full hp.

Yea dude voresh is healing Garius this entire time and Rose just heals the bottom two lowest max hp.
Interestingly enough, Estella has the same wording as both Voresh and Rose and will heal the lowest HP (based on actual HP, not % HP remaining), but does skip the full health one and will heal a damaged but higher HO one rather than a full health one
Yea I think its just a coding swap, I forgot that Estella exists tbh, cause shes so bad.
Yeah, had to use her in S1 because it was only her and Meggan that had any heals in Ice/Necro last season (well, did use Thia and didn’t realize Uloar could heal, but lacking in actual healers)
what im saying is you need to test with other units damaged
as pointed out with estella, it might be that rose just doesnt have a check in her kit to prevent her healing already full hp units

she originally could heal only melee units that are around the taret she hits
now she has potential to heal/cleanse multiple heroe sincluding ones that are in backline like this for example
she healed/cleansed 4 targets which could not be possible with her old kit
Oh yea not saying its not an improvement from the original, its just not healing like Voresh, which I think is what people would prefer.
then she would only heal the tank , not ideal in all situation so im not sure

Regarding the abnormal target selection issue with Rose's skill, the problem has been identified and is currently being fixed. Additionally, the correct effect is to heal the 2 targets with the lowest percentage of current health, rather than the lowest absolute health value.
