Hi, the dragon boosts its damage at 50% health. I asked around (@juju for instance) and the general consensus was that the damage would go up after the next reset when it hits 50% HP, to ensure no timezone gets an unfair advantage.

I woke up this morning with the dragon at 49.5% and so I'm certain it didn't reach that it didn't progress before the reset. However, now that it's past 50% the damage boost arrived!!

I was nb10 and fighting to stay there. I see some other top20 players already hit and thus have the advantage. Am I really going to have to outperform them by such a margin to stick around there?? My damage went down by roughly 30%

Also note: (side issue) the dragon gets its stacks removed and is thus stunned for 5s. This gets the cycletime to 35s. Catherina is set on 17.5s (min cycle time is 17.39s) but doesn't manage 2 cycles for 1 dragon cycle?

I want to second this. It is indeed unfair that being the first to complete content, on the same day, gives an advantage. I think some sort of compensation should be in order, as people will drop down the ranks due to this.

Thank you for your reply, kindly note that we've reported the issue to the relevant team, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Appreciate it! Important for at least the next time and people that would encounter this issue later on (that's more important than any compensation, albeit unfortunate).

Dear Travelers, Thank you for your patience,
Regarding the damage issue for the boss, we would like to let you know that this is an inherent rule of the gameplay. It is publicly visible to all players and allows them to choose their own strategies.

Furthermore, Each skill of the boss lasts 6 seconds, and there are 5 skills in one round, totaling 30 seconds (Dragon God's Roar skill only makes the boss weak for 5 seconds, it does not mean that it will suspend charging for 5 seconds). Catherine set it to 16 seconds for the first time. , it takes 17.5s to release again, which adds up to more than 30s.

We have understood your request and we care deeply about the feelings and experiences of every player and do not want these issues to affect your mood. Please believe that we have been working hard and hope to give all players a better gaming experience. However, we have not received the notice about the compensation temporarily, please can pay attention to the follow-up whether it's given out via game mail.
Please continue to support us. We also hope to have you all the way on the road to continuous growth of our game!
Thank you again for your understanding and support!

Thanks for the follow-up. It’s unfortunate that it’s intended, as it pushes people to start immediately after the cooldown, which may be in the middle of the night or during work hours.

@warm olive You wanted a ping for the reply you said 😉
So: the 50% instant difficulty increase is intended behaviour

And @odd hollow I did some more testing on the Catherine timings and fixed my own timing mistake.
It had to do with Martina not getting the passive ult energy up when already at 100%, thus not reducing a stack on the dragon.
Do note though: the ult timer IS stopped when the dragon is down (contrary to what you just said).
So when the dragon is consistently weakened by removing the 4stacks, its timing will go to 35sec/cycle.
