Is there a good reason why using a scroll upgrades skills at random? Or is this just brazen wallet manipulation.

Why would it be a wallet manipulation when you can just save up f2p for scrolls in various content and just add 8-9 scrolls to the hero in one shot to max them? You are either very early game and earned few scrolls so far or doing it wrong 🤷‍♂️

You can save 8 or 9 of them over the course of several weeks if not spending, or... focus on the skill you need maxed first and move on to someone else. This saves you a lot of time. I dont recall there ever being a game where skills were upgraded at random. I dont see what reason for it is. It takes double the time to max the skill you want unless you purchase the scrolls.

My last comment holds up still, play more and you will realize it isnt an issue AND others have already posted the exact dame suggestion - could have added to those instead of making a new one

Taking double the time (for a reason that hasnt been given yet) to upgrade skills (particularly legendaries) is a non issue? I understand not everyone cares about ranking. As one of the few that does apparently, each week spent bouncing between skills and missing the cooldown on the priority skill, is a week of avoidable arena losses and unatained boss scores. And each week is 1 more closer to reset. A non issue is a casuals conclusion. Some are casuals, others are not.

Some are casuals at the internet and discord, and some dont know wtf they are talking about in or out of game. But keep arguing lol

So look, at the end of the day, you're playing this progressively. If you're not able to get all the characters you want scrolled up, next season you could continue. Would you have the convenience of clearing the content faster? no. Would you be able to clear all content still? yes. If you're playing casually, then take it as it is. No, the game is not gonna change because its a convenience to you. It is built as it is, even I may lack the scrolls for units I wanna max out too but alas, there's a new season coming where I can do that

Random skills are getting popular in gacha . Some games implement it and some don’t .

Just as you said , the only reason for random is to make it to be harder to skill up = impatient players have to spend .

In my opinion, it is a bad practice to apply because good games should bring convenience of enjoying game to players .
Look at the Auto - Raid feature . It is a damn Free feature in most gacha games but this is a paid feature in this game . I’m waiting for the time players quit because of worn out . Daily boss takes too long to fight ,….

Overall devs have over-monetize . Some features must be free in game so players can keep playing but they make it to be $ . Big mistake

Are they even random? I feel like they skill up evenly so even with good rng you can't lvl up ult only🤔

some games give skill in already chosen order, some are fully random, you rarely chose tbh
