Drizzt doesn’t really need a kit change but he should feel worth summoning and levelling. I don’t think he needs to be the best DPS in the game (although lore wise that would fit his portrayal as an incredible warrior).
Some improvements:
-
Make the cat invulnerable. You don’t need to remove him as a summons. You can keep the interaction between him and Drizzt in how they buff each other, but he needs to be unable to take damage. Yes, making him more resistant to aoe damage has helped but it still means that healers, who heal a single target on their skills, may end up prioritizing the panther instead of someone else and that can be very bad.
-
Buff his multipliers. Usha should not be doing more damage than him. He doesn’t need to be another Flora but he should at least be comparable to Tonalnan. Since he is a Frost champion (a faction not known for its DPS champs) he should be hands down the best damage dealer for them.

Give him some sort of buff/debuff to make him unique. Right now he’s just another champion who applies frost and there are better choices in the faction already. Leave the frost on him but give him something else. Maybe self healing/group healing like Questa (doesn’t quite fit lore but would improve the faction). Maybe attack down or defence down. Maybe full map aoe blind (he is a Drow after all and they have an innate ability to cast globe of darkness which essentially blinds their opponents). Or, another idea, he is extremely agile. Maybe a new dodge buff that gives him the ability to avoid all damage.
He needs something. Right now there is no reason for me to level him because he doesn’t do anything that Usha doesn’t already do. Being a Forgotten Realms fan and owning almost the entire Drizzt series of books, I am very disappointed at his lacklustre showing in this game. I almost regret the heliodice I used to summon him. If he remains mediocre, I will definitely think twice before participating in any more collab summoning.
