I picked Necrosis as my only attribute (as you can see) and rolled a 19. Got horus. What the heck is the point of picking attributes for the horn if it does nothing?

Picking Attributes For Horn Is Meaningless

Picking stats do not guarantee you will get what you picked. As well as it does not guarantee thay you will get a legendary on every roll. But it does increase the chance of getting what you picked among the others.

what kind of nonsense canned response is that? Who said anything about getting a legendary? What is going on right now?

#

if picking an attribute does not matter why is it a part of the horn process?

#

just to give players the illusion of choice?

#

if it has no bearing on the summon, then fine (it doesnt, as evidenced by the screenshot), just dont lie to players about it. make it clear that attribute choices have no impact on the summoned character.

What i said was just an example. It matters as it increases the chance for that specific pick, it just not guarantees it.
Here goes another example: Lets say you pick Healer, and the dice rolls 20. (un)fortunately you won't get a healer because there is no healer among the Legendaries (rolling 20 gives you a legendary) in the horn pull.

Your example is flawed - there are many necrosis epics. Again, if the choice doesnt matter (again, evidenced by the screenshot) then why is it there? Increased chance? The heck is that? people pull maybe 1 epic in an entire month from the horn and the attribute choice is irrelevant? Get outta here. Just dont lie to players. simple.

Since it wasnt clear, because your reading comprehension is elementary, the point is that none of this is made clear in game. As none of this is laid out in the horn rules, players are likely to assume our attribute picks have merit, when in reality for all we know, it IS meaningless. Some mod telling me here that they only provide a chance, regurgitating a copy pasta response, doesn't help with the above.

Nobody asked for your worthless post in here, adding zero to the discussion, troll.

now back to your hole, off you go.

Thanks for your patience.
Regarding the attribute selection issue you asked about, the label you choose will only increase the probability of obtaining a hero with the attribute of that label. It does not mean that after you select a tag, you will definitely get a hero with the same attributes as the tag.
