Sorry if this has been suggested/declined already.

Option to increase current enemies in combat up to (whatever limit 5/10? Tems wants).

experience increase could be +5(-15 with upgrade)%

player would take more damage- go through more food(/gold)

I'm picturing similar mechanics to the raid, but player has their gear/pots/ pure idle gameplay option

the bonus experience would be the return for taking the extra damage (if it hits you)

I mean sure, but, if its done raid like, you'll rarely hit the same monster twice, if your end goal was more exp, why not suggest an item that are based off of the current xp boosts (the common and rare ones) that boost combat xp or something. This just seems like extra work for little gain.
