As name says, magic is, in my vision, too shallow rn and could be improved. Here's my idea.
Make magic usable through scrolls of magic - i.e. Scroll of Fireball, Scroll of Ice Vortex - which you could make using a crafting skill called Scrollcrafting. Would work similar to Runemaking in RS but without the combining matter.

Could use a similar mechanic as archer and arrows where you add a stack of scrolls in your ammo slot when using a mage weapon and they get consumed upon attacking
