If you open a raid but don't enter it you can then open a boss fight. But after you have consumed your key you're stuck and cannot start the boss fight cause you are in a raid.

You'll be glad to know the dungeon will stay open forever (until completion) or until another key being used, so leaving and returning later will be alright 🫡
