The gold return from fishing is a joke compared to all other gathering skills. You make double the gold/hr if you do woodcutting instead, And a little under double if you do mining or foraging. There is little incentive to do fishing unless you're just supporting your clan with food for bosses. There needs to be a change to the time to fish or the value to sell the fish.

Is the wiki wrong? It says 30 seconds for anglerfish which would make the value even worse
When I checked the posted guides, fishing was barely 1 gold/sec when everything else was at least 4/sec

it's lagging way behind still

And cooked fish only adds 2 gold more

cooking anglerfish takes it from 50 to 55

New changes to fishing^

I think it’s a great idea to nerf fishing even more! Especially considering it’s the worst skill in the game

#

Which Means now the gold/hr is more like 50% of what I calculated immediately, making it even worse😂

Just my opinion, but fishing is more of a combat support skill. The "value" of it lies more in using it as a healing item, although it certainly could use an NPC price upgrade even if it's just a slight one. As for market prices, though, those will definitely drive up over time.

But you get so much food dropped from combat it becomes irrelevant.

Anglerfish is level 80

#

The barrier to entry is low

#

If their was a new fish at level 100 for example, then there would be value since a small percent of the population is at that level of fishing
