Spray Paint or Glow Sticks?

My buddies and I have been using the lock door mechanic to signify where we have explored or cleared out, but think it would be nice to buy spray paint that we could use specifically on doors indicate its a dead end or the area has been cleared. Otherwise, glow sticks could be a great way of being able to find our way back and keep track of where we have been.
