I’ve been a bit inactive as of writing this, and today I made the mistake of looking at the suggestions channel. There are so many outlandishly horrible suggestions that I think we need to add a bit more complexity to the process. Introducing… #draft-suggestions!
This is a place for aspiring suggestors to make their first suggestions, receive criticism, and improve before moving to the actual suggestions channel!
First of all, I should explain how this works. When someone new enters the server(present members excluded), they will not have access to the suggestions channel. Instead, they will have access to draft-suggestions. It has the same rules, and is accessible by normal suggestors as well. They can post their ideas there and receive criticism.
There is also a new command: /vouch. /vouch allows you to vouch for another player to be able to use the suggestions channel. Once someone receives 10 vouches from different players, they are granted the Suggestor role(granted to all current members), allowing them to view the suggestions channel.
Hopefully, this will let suggestors inprove as well as unclog the suggestions channel of the low-effort suggestions that some people put on it. It is also more difficult to bypass, as it requires you to make suggestions and not just gain levels or spend time in the server.
