while i think the obby is fine, it took me about 10 minutes of attempts, 1k candy per attempt is way too harsh considering people will be spending time between attempts w/ no way to practice

considering it takes the average player probably like 30m-1h to get a single key, and basing it off my experience (~15 attempts) it'd probably take 7.5 to 15 hours for them to obtain mummy, and in my opinion mummy is not worth 7.5-15 hours of grinding

i would do one of two things:

1. the price of the key is lowered by 100 every time you purchase it, to a minimum of 100, this would be 3.5k candy to reach the minimum pity price and i think if you've grinded that long you deserve to have some pity
2. the key opens the door for 30s and everyone can enter just from a single person's key, so working together = free attempts

if you do go with the hourly quests, which i believe is the best option you provided, the space to the left of the arena portal in the lobby is empty (opposite side of game modes portal), you can add a quest board there that I has like 3 somewhat simple quests, and when completed, you can go to it to redeem a key, and it will change the board to an hour long timer for the next set of quests

I think it would be cooler if the key was easier to get but the obby was a lot longer

Also would be great if the obby was more balanced

On low end laggy devices you either stay stuck inside pyramid and die or when spawning into obby you take dmg from the lava somehow??
