Combo received some adjustments this update.

All combos (EEE/EQE/QQQ etc.) now deal the same damage. They now vary in their knockback instead of there always being one you want to use because it does the most damage.
Players can also dash now by using the Q move outside of a combo with a 4 second recharge rate.

What do you think of these changes?

haven’t had the opportunity to test it but I like the idea of all combos doing the same damage, it encourages you to actually use the other combos depending on the situation instead of always doing EEE for 50 damage

do all the combos have the same knockback they used to have or was that tweaked in this update?

QQQ was always the big knockback combo, didn’t know if that was changed

finally got the opportunity to playtest it so I can give actual feedback now

like I said above, the combos all doing the same damage is a good change, it encourages you to use different combos depending on the situation instead of always using EEE for the damage

dashing is also a great addition, it helps you close the distance and is awesome for dodging as well, which helps you not get stomped as badly by projectiles

I do think the cooldown could be increased a bit though, maybe 6 or 7 seconds instead of only 4

#

don’t really know how I feel about the E uppercut to initiate combos, it adds another extra input to something that was pretty seamless beforehand

you could go straight into the combo if you landed that initial input instead of having to press E once, make sure you actually hit your opponent, and then transition into your combo string

#

not to mention, if you miss your uppercut but input a combo that involves Q, you end up wasting one or both of your dashes

overall I still prefer how combo used to be before the priming rework, in an ideal world combo would still function like that with dashing bound to R and the equal combo damage carrying over as well

but if I had to choose between the priming version and this current version, I’m picking the current version 100% of the time

so all in all, could be a little bit better if it returned to how it used to work before the priming version while carrying over dashing (by binding it to R) and equal combo damage, but this is still miles better than the priming version

as far as I can tell the AoE combo still doesn’t work either, don’t know what got messed up in the transfer but it was never an issue for the pre-priming version of combo
