#Chambers of Xerics

CoX is quite strange in terms of completing the collection log due to the 2k cape only counting towards Challenge Mode Kill counts.
As such, it's not worth doing regular chambers at all unless you are trying to learn to content, going for CA's and/or doing megascales for purples.
To complete the collection log efficiently, players should stick to the lowest scale they prefer and camp CM's until they complete the pet & all 12 purples.
After that point, players should prioritize 5man CM's. However, these are not always easy to find teams. As such, more people result in trios for the faster team forming.
Note: Purchasing Megascales would be efficient to do beyond 2k cm cape if you are missing purples/pet. However, i don't think it warrants the hefty price. A good alternative would be doing 3+12 regular chambers to farm points/purples
2K Cape only counting Challenge Mode
There has been a lot of discussion/drama on why regular chambers does not count towards the 2k cape.
I just want to quickly explain the reason why that is the case.
Timeline Issue
-When CoX first came out, CM's (Challenge Mode) did not exist and there was no 2k cape concept.
-Jagex introduced Chalenge Mode CoX with the Capes concept.
-Some players seem to enjoy that concept.
-During Theatre of Blood release, jagex decided to include the 2K Cape on that as well (fun fact, it used to be a 5k cape
, until a playtester said it was too excessive (Lucid Dream))
-Later on Jagex introduced Hardmode ToB & combined the kill count towards 2k cape
-ToA came out with both regular & Expert and were combined for 2k cape
There is always a risk of jagex reverting the way kill count is counted for CoX. If this ever changes, it would make CM's irelevent as players should only do CM's till dust+kit, & then move over to scaled regular chambers.
In a reason Q&A the mods mentioned they do not think it should be changed as the "ship has sailed"
(If someone can find the link: pm it to me & i'll link here <3)
Expected Completion for CoX
Mean(Average) & Median completion for 12/12 purples at Chambers
Expected number of purples mean (above), median (below) in terms of completion rate X/12
Example: if you have 8/12 purples in 23 purples (expected would be 20.56) as such you would be considered unlucky by slightly.
Average Completion: 77.66 Purples
~2250 Solo CoX @ 30k points
or
~77.66 x 867,600pts = 67 million points
Expected GP per CoX Purple
CM Completion Estimates
As seen from this table, COX is not an easy completion as the items are quite rare & there are a total of 12 uniques. As such, the odds of being unlucky on one of them is more likely.
Expected Profit from 2K CM Grind
The expected profit varies on points & team scale. It also varies a lot based on your tbow luck :/... (I'm looking at you OTB)
You can expect to make 8.5B gp going for 2k cm cape via trios. Feel free to make a copy of sheet & adjust how you please.
What Team Scale to Do
Take this data with a grain of salt. Max efficiency players can easily complete faster raids, however I assume GM CA time for simplicity sake.
Conclusion
-Do Challenge Mode Raids ASAP
-Pick a team scale you prefer (ideally trios)
-Pray to the god of RNG you get all items + pet before 2k cape. If you don't. Do heavily scales trio regulars and/or megascales.
The ideal scale is 3+12.

Ironman Team Finding
As an ironman, sometimes in WDR you will get denied a team due to the slight disadvantages of raiding with an ironman (Jagex please fix this
).
As such, my buddy Salii & I have made a discord to find teams for CM's. These teams are open to any game mode (normie/Iron). However, they have gear restrictions for max gear requirement & budget gear.
There is also a text guide on how to do max efficiency CM if that is something you are keen in learning/reading about.
(Eventually i'll make a detailed guide for it
)
