would mostly be useful in solo-queue, randoms really love to split very far in the early scavenging phase of the game and they frequently don't bother trying to re-group. obviously pinging won't make them automatically re-group, but the ping could help incentivize it

unrelated to a group up ping, but changing the information pinging your item slots broadcasts would be nice too

instead of saying "I need [X]!" when pinging a filled item slot, maybe broadcast the name in the chat with color coding for the tier
