Hi everyone
Having a great deal of trouble with the downgrader. When I go to my GTA4 directory, the exe files do not show up for me to select. When I try to copy and paste the file path, it says I can not open that file type with this program. Has anyone had similar issues, and if so do you know of a fix?

Hey guys sorry for the late reply. It allows me to choose the folder, and then seems to recognise that the exe is in there, even though the exe doesn't show up when i browse for it. I'll try this, and if it doesn't work I'll send some screenshots and try using the downgrader in the tutorial
So that seemed to have worked - I can now launch the game in its 1070 version. Now the issue I'm having is openiv can't locate the exe, even when I just try selecting the folder rather than just the exe itself

I'm gonna try install a mod that will be apparent right away (such as gloves for Niko) and I'll report back 
Sorry for the noob question - do I need to extract the mod zip file in openiv or can I just place it as it is?
It may be obvious this is the first game I've tried manually modding lol

so i downloaded it and extracted it into the gta iv folder I'm using, it shows up in openiv but i'm not sure if I need to do anything else, let me send some screenshots

Okay I kinda guessed not lol, what would you reccomend I do?

go to Gloves By Default\pc\models\cdimages\playerped.rpf\ using file explorer
copy the 4 files there
and then using openiv, go to pc\models\cdimages, double click playerped.rpf, enable edit mode from top right, paste the 4 files there

I assume it doesn't matter where withing plerped.rpf I paste them as long as they are there?

For some reason it didn't work, I know this may be another dumb question but when I paste into openiv should I be using ctrl + v or is there a paste tool within openiv?

actually there might not be a paste option in openiv, idr
just drag and drop the files from explorer to openiv then
