Hi everyone, I'm sharing one of my DM VODs. Could you review my:

• Gun fights
• Crosshair placement
• Peeking
• Movement

On my last VOD(DM - Bind - Gold 3), I got a feedback for:

• Crosshair placement
• Checking the common angles and slicing the pie
• 2 bursts

In this DM, I've played Sheriff only so I've focused on the first two points.

The biggest issue I saw, and this one I have myself is sloppy clearing of angles and peeking. Just pointing out a few examples of this:

1:24 you kinda half W peek the Skye there, more like looking towards the angle for the sake of it instead of actually clearing it. Though in this kind of angle you don’t typically need to worry about dedi peeking and fully clearing both sides, you should not be tapping W during any of the swing

A similar thing happens in 1:49 where you tap W for a split second while coming out of TP and checking short. If someone even halfway decent swung at that moment or was holding, you would have died.

Just a few of these moments, but a general tip is to treat deathmatch fights and movement like a real comp game. This is because you build habits during death match that you apply in ranked.

I would recommend double binding W to move forward and pull out knife to become aware of how much you tap W while swinging out. (Woohoojin recommended this in one of his videos and it has helped me). Only do this for dm though not for ranked

In moments like 1:33 when you have multiple angles to clear like that, don’t hit W in the middle and clear all of them at once. Instead, look to dedi peek each angle individually. With the way you peeled it, you had a circular movement for the other side of short which is not ideal. Take a split second to pre aim your crosshair for the stairs and then swing only using A. This is a habit you need to build.
