Hello, this is my first time trying to get a VOD review since I just recently reached gold. I feel like I am lacking in mechanics (movement, crosshair placement, raw aim...), but surely there's other stuff too.

As you can see in the VOD, I try to comm a lot and come up with pre round plans, so I think this isn't too bad. I'd appreciate any constructive feedback from any rank as I truly am not able to understand my mistakes here apart from taking 50s poorly.

Ight first round, good aggressive play. I like that you trigger discipline for the second. After Sova died, you should have started to get ready for A main. Smoking was fine by we wasted a blind for no reason. We tp to get into a different position but we can hear they aren't push out and you have a shorty (so jumping down and shooting etc Thats overheating in a bad fight)

There's two alternatives that you can do, if you wanted to use the shorty, I would smoke the right side of A main (facing out on defense) so that you can tp towards the cubby on the left. You could also smoke off top of the boxes on A main, and TP into it for surprise. If you didn't use the blind this would be more effective for these ideas.

Alternatively, you could have picked up a ghost from the sova and have another way to blind and peak A Main

Self-review:
R1: Good cheese, good trigger discipline, just gotta chill after double kill and eyes on the minimap to avoid suiciding on the reyna
R2: Good aggressive idea, bad peeks (x4!) : too wide and crosshair is waaay too low, think where you're gonna aim before peeking. Then when getting pushed, you have a decent off angle so hold a bit wider to prevent the horrendous spray you did on the reyna (that was definitely double killable)
R3: 1 for 1 on eco is chill, maybe push in smoke next time so you can get cover to reload after kill
R4: stop jiggling when there's no one, you could have gotten that omen if you held wide
1v2 is okay, aim before moving on the way to A cuz your trigger discipline is a bit weak (unlucky round)
R5: decent eco, good pick, but you should've expected the sova because we saw him on the minimap 8:32
R6: Good flank, maybe could've gone a little faster but I guess you wanted to play it safe. Unlucky miss on the one way when spike was down, and then unlucky drone timing.
R7: should've tp'd more to the side (out of the chamber's angle), but pretty unlucky that they rushed garage (also very interesting masculine screams kekCapture)
R8: You forgot to pick up the vandal after getting omen... this one's on you (good flash though)
R9: good ideas but bad deadzone, then you wasted a tp and a smoke (you saw on the minimap that no one was long sooo...)
R10: Again, bad crosshair placement on the peek window (was better this time tho)
Nice pace on the flank retake, but again poor crosshair placement on the 1v1 vs reyna
R11: good idea, but you should've gone way faster behind window
also AGAIN terrible crosshair placement against the reyna.
R12: Unlucky lmao

General:

  • You NEED to hyperfocus on your crosshair discipline, your ideas are good but you lose way too many fights because of this
  • Hold wider
    Defense:
  • Go even faster on the flanks!
  • Omen isn't even a garage agent, play C (super flash) or A more often (boxes to tp on)

  • You need to mix up the playstyle so ennemies don't always expect you garage (see R10 for example)

R13: Get off-angled you noob (crosshair placement was good for once and pretty unlucky timing)
R14: Reyna saw you peek from here last round of course she'd clear it (bad idea to go again here) (that reyna is a maniac)
R15: entry is good, probably should've gone for the reyna end round? she wouldn't expect you, and omen was already gonna die considering out teammates' positions
R16: nice ideas, lurk faster though
R17: nice timing on the first one, ults do bait attention a lot (also get probably-blinded sheriff wallbang-one-tapped nerd lmao)
R18: decent try to entry, but you should've blinded from a better angle. Quality is better than speed, make sure your smokes are good (ct one). Also bad hold at the end, you should hold both wider and further away
R19: nice timing again, but you gotta either go site to help your team or not get scanned. Also good off angle at the end although bottom-top is losing so watch out for that next time.
R20: terrible crosshair placemen throughout the whole round, also tping hell is pretty bad when you know no one's on site. and then nice try tping in your smoke at the end but u gotta jump with tp out otherwise timing is too tight

Offense:

  • Good ideas on lurking once again but you gotta lurk-team-lurk wayyy more, right now you're lurk-lurk-lurk and get traded after getting one.
  • Don't do the exact same idea as last round, mix it up.

R2: I definitely wouldn’t peek again if I saw 2 people holding window with a sheriff and you have a spectre. ( You know they’re on a save round so giving them a spectre by simply dying is really bad, as they can still win the 3rd round because you guys wouldn’t have a buy since you already forced the 2nd round. ) The reason you guys lost was because of the unnecessary peeks in mid
Also I don’t know why you’re still holding garage when there’s more than 1 guy pushing you. ( You should do it when you have a reyna for example, then you can play aggressive and dismiss right after the kill. )

R3: You guys lost because of the aggressive peeks in round 2, so that caused you to have really bad loadouts. You guys could’ve definitely won it if you played together and got kills slowly one by one.

R4: You should help your sky in C site and stop worrying about mid a lot. You could just peek it quick and go back to helping him. **( Late rotation is a terrible choice, unless you know one of their players is lurking mid then cypher can hold an off angle. ) **
