I played this game yesterday, this game felt so winnable yet I lost, here’s some things I noted for myself

  • should’ve bought shorty more often
  • on attack, let someone else play map control
  • fix bad aim fight habits
  • switch up angles mores

anything else would be greatly appreciated, trying to reach immortal 3 this act

As always, these are my takes, not necessarily I'm right in everything. So take it like that

5:45 Here, you're isolated from your sova in a 2v1. Your, and your sova's priority right now should be determining the location of the enemy sova while avoiding solo fights. You should be using your dash here to take a quick fight and almost immediately dashing away after contact so your sova knows where to go to help you. I don't think I have to say why what you did here was not a good idea.

7:40 At this point, your sova rotated to bottom mid to help you. He can only hold top mid from bottom mid, so both of you watching top mid is pretty redundant. Also, your sova is unable to cover your tiles peek. Try to be aware of what your teammates are holding, and if they're holding the same angle while leaving another angle exposed (tiles) then you should be the one holding the other angle. Not holding tiles from cat just gave the enemy team a huge pick and they win the round off it.

10:13 Don't shoot knives through smokes unless you have a backup weapon.

11:23 If you look at the minimap, there is 0 way that anyone could be on site right now, to me it looked like you were trying to spam the drone through the smoke. Here you should be peeking through the door smoke with dash to help your team fight A main since they aren't on site yet.

20:09 To make this round even winnable, you need to pick up that phantom and w key into site with it, and hope you delete the last 2 players. Not sure why you're holding onto the OP in the last round of the half.

24:18 Unnecessary dash pop.

27:51 With 1 knife left, just switch to your vandal. Also, dashing in without throwing a smoke first is just asking to die in an untradable position.

29:07 After spotting brim, you know that sova is the only person that could be on B site, since you saw Reyna cat earlier. You should comm this to the team to go 4 B together and take the 4v1 on B site.

32:32 If you're going to wide swing it you should at least be aiming at the angles that you're exposing yourself to, although you shouldn't be doing that anyways. The best play here is just maintain B main control, since they know you're main, and as long as you're alive they have to commit someone to holding B main or allow themselves to get shot from behind. Dying here gives up a major advantage that you have in the post-plant.

34:03 Completely unnecessary knives + dash. Sure, you just got 2, but doing these plays will cost you rounds, like how your team lost the 4v2 post plant, so unless you plan on blowing up on TikTok from your Jett clips I would suggest against this.

36:05 Your sage is currently trying to plant the bomb while trying to not die from Brim and Sova Ult, not her fault for you overextending heaven and getting spammed. I know you might think that you could've gone up heaven without dying if sage walled it, and you probably could've, but in this situation where there wasn't a wall, it was 100% your fault for dying. You knew there wasn't a wall there but still jumped up. The mindset that it could be sage's fault will definitely hold you back. You should try to think about what you could've done in this situation instead, like sitting on jump-up and explicitly comming to sage to wall heaven before they plant. Then, you could jump up heaven with the wall and take a fight as the enemies try to break the wall.

I know I may sound critical, but everything I've said is to help you review your gameplay so you can better understand the common mistakes in your gameplay. I will say, you are quite good at entrying with jett, and I can tell you've played this agent a lot. The main things that you should keep in mind are:

  • Try not to overheat, always play for the round, not the clip (do this if you enjoy gaining RR :) )
  • Be aware of your teammate's positioning and where they are holding, try not to hold the same angle if multiple angles need to be held.
