Nah thanks, the old map is so dated it does not belong in this game anymore. Would be fine if they would remake the same map and layout with new assets, but it's still a map that always plays the exact same. No creative freedom to try anything else.

I'm going to be honest, old Al Basrah was hot dookie. 90% of the map was just nothing, and the rest was so boring. Infantry fights were terrible and the only people who I saw actually enjoy it were armor mains.

The old basrah was a classic squad experience for sure but just sooooo outdated and bad looking, literally like a ps2 game. The new map is actually viable for RAAS/AAS unlike the old one which was basically unplayable for anything but invasion. A much needed upgrade and I won't miss the old version at all.

Infantry were so outclassed on the old map that sometimes friendly armor would just avoid working with infantry because it was more viable to just wolfpack and bully the enemy infantry by themselves. It was not fun.
