#Serverless build time out Error

I'm seeing the exact same issue today.

Symptoms:

  • Build hangs at "exporting cache" / "Creating cache directory"
  • Eventually fails with RPC Unavailable / EOF
  • ref layer locked errors
  • Build times out after ~30 minutes
  • Disabling cache does not help
  • Works locally, fails only on RunPod serverless

One of my recent build logs:

  • Build timeout after 1800s
  • rpc error: code = Unavailable desc = ref layer locked
  • error reading from server: EOF

Looks like an infra-side cache / storage issue.
