Why can I stop a new pod template, but only terminate a pod deployed from network storage?

deploying from network storage doesn't give you the same result? what do you mean by that

Ahhh, I see why that might be beneficial now. Example use case of just running the persistent storage on a weaker machine with syncthing so backups can run over night

If stopping the pod locks network storage to one device- I can see why this would be problematic
