My game version is correct for the lumi version, I'm using ryujinx on steam deck.

I started gameplay, got my starter, got as far as getting the quest to go to Rowan's place. I went into the grass, got an encounter where everything seemed to be playing but all I could see was a white screen. I exited and re-entered the game & got stuck on the loading screen.

I deleted my save, took off every other mod (all from the compatible list) except lumi, and restarted. I got my starter, saved & quit to test if I still got stuck on the loading screen. I did.

It doesn't seem to be from another mod, my game version is the recommended one, I have deleted and recreated saves 3 times all with the same result. I have no idea what's going on or why, but it seems if I quit the game for any reason, I'll never be able to access that save again. Does anyone know what's going on? Any help at all is appreciated because I'd love to play this mod!

Trying that right now! Gonna watch it closely to make sure nothing odd happens during the process that could theoretically corrupt something, will report back once I've tried this

Once you have the new zip, check if the download is correct by right clicking the mod .zip file, going to the 7zip menu, then CRC SHA, select 256 and compare with:

Okay, it's downloaded and the SHA thing seems to match. It's the very bottom one in that list for Shining Pearl

No, just moving the extracted folder to the desired location
It just sped up significantly thank goodness

Oh well, you could also just move the zip to the mod folder and extract there directly, which would be a lot faster

SteamOS uses KDE for the desktop, right? I assume it comes with dolphin and Ark, so you should be able to extract no problem

Started the game, walked out of the house, saved, exited, went back in & stuck

So you are sure you were playing Lumi (custom intro, language select screen), you didnt have any save files before and your base game is Shining Pearl?

For some reason the language select screen changed appearance
The first time I played (with other compatible mods installed) the language select screen was as described on the site. It has been different every time since then for some reason (the only thing I did between those two times was disable a different mod)
I had no previous save files, I had opened the game, saw I had no save data, closed it & decided to try a mod instead of vanilla

Then your mod is not properly installed
Either there is some problem with the way you are moving the folder (try extracting directly in the mods folder), or you have some other mod interfering (maybe an atmosphere mod? you shouldnt have any of those at all)

That makes me wonder if an atmosphere mod for a different pokemon game is interfering even though it isn't selected (but it is on the same list)
Got it off the list so that only the desired mods are present, the language select screen is now a 3rd design (black, blue, green, & red)

Just Lumi right now, moving the Lumi compatible mods later if I can get this one issue fixed and then seeing if those cause further issues

Your lumi folder seems to be corrupt or not properly installed already since you are not getting the right language screen
So I would say delete everything, move the zip to the right folder, and extract there

It is completely isolated
