#If I wanted to alter the shiny rates, where would I find it in the files?

I'm looking to change the shiny rates in the Romhack. I've looked at the BDSP Dev Resource sheet and the unpacked assets, but haven't found where you modified the rates to 1/512. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
p.s. Love the work you all have put into this. Definitely my favorite Romhack.

Editing the shiny rate is an exefs modification, so it won't be as easy as just changing one value in romfs

Although stay tuned for 3.0, we've managed to move it to romfs in our new framework so it's super easy to edit

Thanks for the reply. I was going to try to learn how to use ghidra but I think I'll just wait till 3.0. Hopefully soon 🙂 !

I would definitely recommend waiting for 3.0 if you plan on learning to edit exefs, the new framework will make things a bit easier for sure

3.0 soon 🙂

Imposter's Ordeal is a BDSP randomizer that also allows you to edit a vast array of game functions. Requires a romfs/exefs extraction of 1.3.0 (BD if you're going to add Lumi, though SP works if you're just messing with vanilla). From there, click "add mod" to load the Luminescent romfs/exefs folders. Once you're finished editing, put the resultant "output" files into the space of your Luminescent mod.

Imposter's Ordeal allows you to change move attributes (types, additional effects, accuracy, etc), shop lists, route encounters, and Pokémon statistics such as their typing, BST, and wild held items.

The randomizer function is only compatible with versions 2.0.4+. Here is our guide on how to do it.

Always download the latest version from the releases page. Requires .NET 5.0.

people who know lots about modding the game, does this option change anything in IO or do you really need exefs editing to change shiny rates
