Seeing the polls, i feel like the ability should work like this
Level 1 foods you craft will be poisoned automatically
Level 2, making foods will randomly poison or buff them
Level 3, you can choose if the food gets poisoned or buffed
Level 4, you unlock the ability to inject existing food like how it is currently

maybe you can add a way to select which effect to give to the food, like when you drink a potion effect or unject or something with your stand you unlock that effect and you can chose to add it to food, with a limit of maybe 3 effects per food item, and if you pass that limit you just ruin the food

would give it a purpose to explore and craft potions kinda of how tony (i dont know how to write it) was traveling around the world

also depending on the effect you will use more or less stand energy
