That's because the shader cache is probably not populated correctly, the shader cache only updates on the DX version you load in from. EX, I only have R4 myself

I'm downloading it, don't worry. One thing I'm already noticing is that the shader.db of the BaS patch doesn't have a R1 folder, only R2 and R3
So there's a fake scope shenanigan happening to stop crashes on DX9, but that could also impact DX8 maybe

Hello, maybe I just have a misunderstanding of the companion system, but I cannot recruit compainons for some reason
My character is currently at the experienced rank & the only changes I've made are to the stalker squad size (most squads are 5 to 7 stalkers instead of the normal 3 to 4) and upped custom squad size to 10.
I'm trying to ask a stalker of the professional rank with a squad of 6 to join me, but I do not get the dialog option.

2) Uncheck every box

Does anyone else get this weird animation bug with DARS? (Devices of Anomaly) It will skip the animation and just lower. It does it with all of the devices, not just the flashlight. It only does it sometimes and I can't reproduce it consistently.

alright lets see here, I get this when playing in the great swamp doing the clear sky defend the pump station quest, I have War Nymph and that patch for THAP, enhanced graphical interface, and companions dont die (because im cringe wowowow) I get this

- Load the save file, then press F7 key and click on NPC Logic / Execute
- In the function executor paste this line below and press Enter:
task_manager.get_task_manager():set_task_completed("mar_smart_terrain_base_stalker_leader_marsh_task_4")
- Now return to Cold to finish the quest.

found it. the section is from retrogue's weapon pack. so you'll have to re-enable it or reinstall it
notably it is NOT in the version of retrogue's weapons that comes with gamma, only the additional one that comes with e.g. UGP

No, havent had any issues till the other day i kept getting that crash 1 ingame day into the playthrough. Couldnt find a solution or help so I did a install/update from launcher keeping everythign but shaders checked and reloaded crash save and it worked. Moving back into rostok after that and it starts crashing again. Only happens there too. I can go to TC and nothing happens

Getting a missing texture error with one of the monolith/freedom outfits as well as part of the monolith nosorog where part of it is solid black. I use KVMAS model merge + zone reality. Any ideas? fresh save btw
Fairly certain this is the spot to ask this but there is a reason why I crash when I blow a burer the fuck up in the Miracle Machine right? I heard areas like Labs have a hard time rendering particles and such quickly thus a crash. Is that the reason for my particular instance, if anybody would know. Thanks.

is it a truck? i don't know any commands but if the windshield is big enough you can crawl through it, you've just gotta jump and shimmy and shake your way out, if not than sadly you'll probably have to reload a save

If you experience Fatal Error mentioning act_eyeball_6.dds : switch to DX11. If you can't afford running DX11 for whatever reason - disable Lurker HD Remodel in MO2.
Hello everybody. I installed Gamma on my new PC according to the how install instructions. I encountered already the line 785 error message when i tried to launch the game which could be fixed with the large file instruction and updated Gamma accordingly. The game itself launches now and runs fine till i want to move to another level (as loner from cordon to garbage) and the line 785 error message (screenshot) appears after the crash. Im playing with 429 mods (i deactivated the Gamma economy / Gamma Economy Bas Injection - and activated the trader overhaul) Currently there is a flag in the Mod Organizer with the Hideout Furniture Expansion (349) and Fixed Vanilla Models Texture (31). Can anybody help:)?

@stray knot To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

I copied anomaly, but had to re-install gamma since it was too big to carry over on another disk, maybe because its not clean anomaly it behaves like that?
you could try to install the full version of Mags Redux from the GitHub and see if that works?
does the game even work if you disable Mags Redux and enabled Unjam Reload?
hmm, it launched fine with vanilla settings
cleaned out with a mad redux removal script, turned everything back on, seems to be working fine

hey...can anyone try to help me? when im in great swamp...im missing the water....or rather not all is "loaded"...every other location i have no problem with "lakes" and puddles...but in swamps i see "dry land" on places where should be water/swamp...tried redownload whole thing, reinstall whole thing, base gamma, modded gama (enabled just new items highlight and item info on left side) and still no change....try not to meddle with graphic settings...meddle with graphic settings...im lost how to fix this

thanks a lot...the soft water did the thing with "no water problem" (tried it turn it of and on and reload game) and next the change of foliage fixed problem with "invisible" water in "autumn" and now i can clearly see where is water in swamp

not helping you w/ the error but farts, ledge climbing mantling, FDDA, companions rework are all already in GAMMA by default and don't need to be enabled
also for the love of god take screenshots with Win + Shift + S and not your phone

are you sure you're not accidentally looking down the canted/pointshooting alt-scope mode? try pressing V

@tropic kite on the topic of looking through updated mods, it seems the developer of PAW released an update just over a week ago (2.0.2) that introduces a working killswitch to PAW meaning you can actually either disable it from MCM or completely unload it via MO2 and your saves will no longer break, which is very convenient for those users reporting that obscure crash after disabling it
i just tested it and it works, i've unloaded the old version and have since then also disabled the new one without killing my save since i'm not using PAW
let's make it totally clear, i do not have any direction over the development of the modpack in any capacity
so i'm not sure why you're telling me

i was looking into this mod as i'm pretty sure that's the only one i have that influences text and symbols in the inventory, there's no MCM entry for QoL Bundle from what i can see?

qol bundle options are chosen when installing, so to change them, find the mod in MO2 -> right click -> reinstall -> pick options -> replace. GAMMA defaults are 1 2 3 5 6 8

the action may default to long press which means you'll have to hold both keys for a bit, also most weapons don't have ammo check animations so you'll be relying on the text at the bottom of the screen and by default it is colored a shade of light yellow so it might be easy to miss in bright environments

3) Go to your Anomaly folder

Worked for that crash but got a new one upon attempting to load my save
if you had a certain mod enabled on a save that contained items and disabled it later you've fucked your save as it can no longer find the reference to that item, you have to reenable all the stuff you started the save with
i can't help you with that error specifically but it kinda sounds like that might be the case here
I'll start a new game and see if I can load that. Just reinstalled GAMMA so I don't have any saves I care about.

by default reload is assigned to F10 or F11 for some reason, make sure Reload is actually R and not only Unjam

ok guess i'll ask here - im trying to edit the minimap setting but i can't seem to understand how to do it properly? i followed the guide where it led me to gamedata/config/ui (im assuming this is in the gamma folder since if i doubleclick the mod in mo2 - it opens up to the one located in gamma's folders) but when i changed the values, it didnt seem to apply ingame, is there anything else im missing?
did you read the modding guide? it tells you exactly which file to change and what the options do
also have you made sure to edit the file itself rather than the view inside MO2? you should right click on the mod > Open in explorer

have you tried saving your changes with Ctrl + S then unticking and then ticking the mod again while your game is closed?

yeah whenever i open the file via notepad, the change stays
just need to untick+tick and check if it applies

have you made sure to not enable the other minimap mod?
maybe try moving the SquareDOV mod down the mod list so it takes priority over other UI mods and such, place it last and see if that changes anything

yes, you can even keep inverno at the bottom (which is what i did) and nothing seems to have any issues so far
the only ones you should actively change in the load order iirc are the 3 specific mods that's in the mod
you can drag the archive into MO2 to install it or you can click the "Install a new mod from archive" button on the toolbar (it's the first one)

i felt like i was doing everything the guide suggested and it was kind of annoying it didnt seem to do anything - thank god it was as simple as just pushing it down in the load order
yep so what you can now do is keep pushing it up the list through the separators and figure out what is causing the clash and put it right above that mod
that's how i figured out what was breaking the FDDA skinning animation
you might even get like a little conflict indicator

@acoustic ledge To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Hello, I am starting a new game with Mags Redux and disabled Unjam, but in game I cannot pull my PDA to my face, any solutions?
i dont remember if the inverno setup had a setting that adds frozen water or not but i highly suggest you disable it unless you dont mind losing access to some stashes and artefacts that normally spawn under the puddles
alright ill look for that, would it be in the in game settings for the mod or something else
have you equipped the PDA after first spawning into the world?
you must do the same with the armor and backpack
i dont remember if it was a setting for the mod or if it was some line you had to change, i dont remember if installing through mo2 gave you a mini-installer on being able to choose specific things to install

Hi, I have 39 days of play on my savegame, Today I got a bugs and this is the first time I have it. Almost every time I change map the game CTD and show me that message. I did not add any new mods since 2 or 3 weeks and I am satisfy with what I have.
I tried to reinstall mod « 290- Atmospherics Shaders Weathers and Reshade Latest - Hippobot » I think it is related to this error but it is a bain package and I do not know what option to choose. Changing the weater in dev mod helped me some time to change toward an other map zone, but I am not sure if it is a real work around.
It is look like a joke inside the code!

well, i managed to find that Missing file from GAMMA Weapon Pack which should overwrite the one that comes with “348- FN F2000 Remodel and Reanimation - SeDzhiMol”.
If I could find the file to edit it
and it would be a !largefiles fix, but its a base gamma issue (will reset modlist/settings)

If you experience Fatal Error mentioning act_eyeball_6.dds : switch to DX11. If you can't afford running DX11 for whatever reason - disable Lurker HD Remodel in MO2.

hi, the bind is i believe F10 or F11 by default and you have to go out of your way to change it when first starting out with the game, with Unjam then becoming U by defualt after disabling the "Unjam Reload" mod - what you want to do after installing Mags Redux is to find mags that are compatible with your weapon, then in the inventory pressing Alt + clicking on each magazine to add them to your magazine carrier (mag capacity depends on armor), then filling them with ammo manually via drag-and-drop; only then you may press R to reload your gun
the Overwrite is usually where screenshots are stored after game sessions and you will always be warned that there are items in that category although this has no bearing on gameplay (clearing Overwrite via right click > Clear Overwrite and getting rid of the error also gets rid of the screenshots)
it might not be available to you under DX9, try switching to DX11
that looks like a zoomable scope? by default you'll start on the least zoomed in setting, try zooming in and out via the scroll wheel - as for the AO inside the scope (the dark ring with parallax as you move it) that is an intentional feature i believe
if you're talking about UGP you cannot disable it midgame and still have your save work (you did mention you were using UGP in #🔨base-gamma-support)
specifically i am told by veerserif that it's an issue with the latest installment of GMTOP so you can keep an eye out for updates for that mod on ModDB for a potential fix @old garnet

@visual flame if you're starting a new save there are mods that already require new saves to play and you might want to have in your game, such as the KVMAS HD Models project, UGP (more guns), or Mags Redux (magazine management mechanics)

Mags Redux is in GAMMA and requires you to disable a mod called "Unjam Reload on the same button" or something along those lines
KVMAS and UGP need to be downloaded from #1035807043933720576, you have to follow the installation directions carefully because they require you to disable specific mods and also load things in a certain order
you can also enable Black Market although that does not require a new save
i'd highly recommend to do so since this allows traders to sell you mags, weapons, and guns at balanced prices

Does anyone have a tutorial for fixing missing weapon icons? A lot of my weapon icons are not showing up since I am using a few different mods. I don't have a great understanding of how the .dds and .ltx files interact to display an icon.
other than making sure they're all loaded at the end of the mod order load list you'll have to perhaps merge the sprites in the atlas and then manually point each gun to its new location in the .dds file which would be a massive undertaking
although i don't think gun mods should clash with eachother like that necessarily? i think it's just a matter of other mods overwriting them so make sure you're not moving them up on the MO2 list
The main issue is that I am using KVMAS / Azetrix Models and its included ISG / Maids Icon Pack. Then I am also running UGP/UGPB on top of that. So there is bound to be some icon conflicts or missing icons due to overwrites. I just get annoyed seeing missing icons in my game all of the time.

try changing the load order between UGP and KVMAS and only install one icon pack (KVMAS' Cr3pis icons maybe?)
i'm sure there are people running both mods here without issues considering they're like among the top 5 mods here

i had some of my KVMAS icons be missing from certain armors after i tried moving it to its logical location on the mod load order list, that pretty much taught me not to move custom mods up on the list and just let them overwrite everything

im guessing you can't uncheck the black market mod once you've turned it on?
KVMAS itself has like three options so maybe try reinstalling with different ones

you right. apparently the crash wasn't related to BM. the quicksave just bricked on it's own when I was testing if I could turn it off. it was a pp2000 texture crash.

Hello guys, this error is showing up on my lightly modded GAMMA install (only mods currently activated are HD models, with the proper mods deactivated, the mod that re enables removed guns and mechanic upgrades re enabled)
so im trying to use warfare a life overhaul and im not seeing any of the presets just fast and slow
still dealing with this shit

HD models are by no means a light mod and can cause conflicts like what i assume is an error with patches here, is it KVMAS? because if it isn't that's the mod you should be using
this is a recurring type of bug it seems, not just artefact conditions but limb health too. on zone transitions and save loads, i think that the new condition doesn't get properly stored and the game just loads the default one
I've reverted to default GAMMA and ran it only with HD Models, game loads fine now. I must have activated some addon that comes with GAMMA that I shouldn't have, most likely

No no, the HD Models mod that's separate from Gamma
in that case you shouldn't be using it as it may be unstable from what i gathered reading the convos here

but that requires a new save and for you to disable the 4-5 mods it says to disable

The fights against the monoliths dragged on, and I had to barely get out 3sec before the countdown.
When I came back, I thought the countdown would have reset to zero, but NOT AT ALL

Hi guys, I have problems with blowout and psi-storms of some kind after 1 in-game day (a blowout passed, followed by a psi-storm 4 hours later (in-game time), then a day of nothing..repeat) although in the Anomaly settings it is set to: blowout every 1-2 days, psi storm every 2-4 days, is it being configured somewhere else or what?

hey i'm attempting to make some changes to a mod in the load order (328- Higher Rank NPCs Headlight Disabled - KraizerX), but for some reason that I can't figure out it won't work and pulls a Lua error, "attempt to index a nil value." This doesn't make sense to me because all I'm adding is for the script to base headlights off of faction rank instead. Can I get some help with this at all? DynaHud and set everything to 1 second so you constantly have your HUD hidden unless you're suffering serious injuries

i can assure you Reload is in the keybindings section and if you did not change it it is still F10-F11

this basically makes it so that the HUD never appears and that even when it does when you're hurt it only does so for a split second, so really you have to check your inventory to see what your condition's like (simulates checking for wounds imo)
