iirc, there is a mod called 'alternative icons' which has a script file named 'alticons.script' this file is present in TWO mods (Alternative icons and GAMMA UI)
inside that file it adjust the position of status icons and also defines the texture for those icons
if this is the case, then you may have disabled the mod which containts the textures
but some other mod may still have 'alticons.script' active, which loads it and tries to find the texture, resulting in blue square
solution: find 'alticons.script' in MO2 and 'hide' it
i think that's it
then you probably have some mod that is modifying the bar map .XML and changes that NPC to a defined HD visual
and somehow you have the .ogf defined for that, but still missing textures
the MCM options of FDDA (backpack/skin?/pickup animation) were disabled to prevent busyhands and to avoid user/player enabling them and getting busy hands and then reporting it as a bug
if you want those options back, you will need to disable FDDA Reliable animation settings mod in MO2

Mags redux seems broken now. Reinstalled 3 times. Mag loading/unloading stops the moment i close inventory and larger mags drop a box of ammo upon loading them into the weapon, i'm stumped

I have enabled Ironman Roguelite and it seems to work up to 3 player-created stashes, but anything higher crashes on death during an attempt so save data about stashes. It says not enough memory, but I have 32Gb RAM, it cannot be all used up. Is this a problem with memory allocation for the engine, can I give it more? Or maybe this is some weird interaction between mods? It seems strange to me that it saves 28k objects, there cannot be so many things in the stashes

And i've had people tell me that they could close inventory and walk around when topping up mags
weird, im sure it was intentional in a recente update the mag loading stopping if you dragged the mag to the weapon in the inventory and then closed mid anim
Not loading the mag into the weapon, loading bullets into a mag, and i don't even mind the fact that i can't do that anymore, but the ammo dropping on the ground is scuffed
The thing that really messes me up is that it persists through reinstalls
I've done 4 complete ones at this point. Deleted everything gamma and anomaly related and installed from scratch from the archives
And then did the whole thing according to the instructions. That's what messes me up the most. Bugs persisting across a fresh install. Do anomaly or gamma leave files outside their folders or something in the registry?

I'm stuck in an endless loop of these errors, I've read that you need to empty your stashes and sell stuff, I've been doing it but it feels like I won't be able to fix my save.
It's not even an old save compared to some of you guy's.

I'm having an issue where turning in a quest for a prototype detector to Sakharov causes my primary weapon to just completely vanish. Is this a known thing? Only other active mods compared to default I have active are the text overhaul mod, quick companion teleport and new item highlight, but it doesn't look like any of those should be the culprit.

Well I kinda sorta fixed it, I tested this a bunch and the same weapon would always disappear, my AK-74M, no matter where it was, inventory, stash, on the ground, it would vanish when I turned in the prototype detector quest. Weirdly, removing the scope before turning in the quest prevented it from vanishing...

put this in the script folder of any addon (remember which so you can remove it later). load into a save game and immediately quit.
in anomaly/appdata/logs/mcm there will be a id_testing_somenumber.log
send that to me.
if you want to read it yourself. it is formatted to be a CSV and you should be able to import it as such to any spreadsheet program. the first 5 rows, and first column will be junk. the header is on row 6. freeze the header and sort by the clsid, or class columns. then look for any thing that seems odd. if you are actualy out of IDs you should have 64k+ rows. if it is less than that that is also odd.
another thing to do is sort by parent, that will identify stashes or NPCs with tons of stuff. any npc or stash with a bunch of stuff that isn't a trader is suspisious.

Make an mcm folder in your logs folder and try again. MCM logs sometimes can't make the folder and had to abort
If that fails I'll write the file manually.

GAMMA has edited .XML for each map location, inside those files it declares information about important NPC and generic random NPC
things like sounds/avatar/faction AND visuals
most likely the red forest .XML has some NPC entry with a defined visual, in this case "actors\stalker_greh\stalker_greh_dazhbog.ogf"
That visual .ogf is from DUX CHARACTER KIT, and if you try to play with HD Models and disable DUX you will crash because the game tries to load that model to the important NPC and since you don't have it anymore, game crashes
the solution is to go to HD models folder, inside actors\stalker_greh\X
and grab any random .ogf and rename it to "stalker_greh_dazhbog"
so you end up with a stalker_greh_dazhbog.ogf
when game tries to load again that specific stalker NPC, it will find the ogf it wants and it will load that model to the NPC, thus no longer crashing the game
it may happen later in your playthrough with another NPC with a defined visual you no longer have, in this case just repeat the steps and you should 'fix' it temporarily
not sure if all of this is 100% correct, but it's what i learned from troubleshootin

How do i go about adding DLTX Simple Weapons? Is it possible to integrate it into enemy spawns and such or is it item spawner menu only?

For some reason, campfires in my game seem to be always lit, now. I can't even extinguish them. The only thing i can remember that might possibly cause this is me messing with trying to tweak the script for campfire healing and trying to add a new one for gas lamp healing with no actual coding knowledge . _. (I was trying that as a new and separate mod, and i uninstalled it so idk if that should be causing any problems still?)

WPO is very integrated into GAMMA, basically it's a core addon, so i doubt you can remove it easily

I disabled the DOF effects in the MCM SSS Settings, yet I'm still getting the effect in-game when reloading my pistol, it doesn't seem to happen with my PDA, food/meds, or other guns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to recreate your error, you can either load it again, which would hopefully work.
Or you might need to modify the ini file by hand.
I recommend not using gaming mode at all, as that always crashes and has caused plenty of errors

yeah. i can give you a script to nuke all the npc PDAs, which will give you some breating room, but you need to fix those population settings.

My only lead is that I had default population when I turned on Warfare (I was unaware that you need to turn it down prior)

bodies clear on thier own. or they should. emisions only kill NPCs on the same level as you. in theory if you have the pop settings turned down now the NPCs shouldn't respawn until below that but IDK about warfare.
run the game and save with this active. then remove it unless you never want to see an NPC pda again.

My stalker population was at 1.0 when I started the save then I turned it down to 0.5 when I realised warfare was being insane. Should I go even lower ?

for Warfare you need specific addons that aren't yet in gamma
there's enough to do without the warfare functions anyways
imo the game needs to be designed specifically around the warfare mode for warfare to be actually good. That's not the current goal of gamma and will most likely never be.
Or try EFP they have limited support for warfare.
patches for warfare will come, there's a whole bunch of patches in a PR that I need to test.

Mod seems to work, but I don't think it works properly with Warfare, the faction HQs are not marked as enemies, even though they are shooting at eachother
That doesn't surprise me. Warfare is weird. And I did not make it with warfare on mind or test it.
As long as you are careful you might be able to let them fight then up things back to match what ware fare thinks it should be.

I don't understand how Warfare as no limitation for the number of stalkers present.
They should pull a Mount & blade and adjust with a ratio instead of throwing more and more stalkers.

Warfare started as a mod, it isn't part of the original systems, everything it does is run by a script. It is not perfect in un modded anomaly

I can confirm that it's 50/50 with warfare. Looking for a way to script it in as an override. Making custom faction relations isn't hard, but doing unique playthroughs is cool, and works better with rep editor
Someone that understands warfare tells me how to read who is at war with who and I can add a tab

Same, but you can open controller settings through steam. But remember not to use radial menus, touch menus etc, anything that adds UI to your screen. Not only will it not work, I actually managed to fuck my steam deck completely trying to make a radial menu work on desktop mode

Question related to sound: all the mutants are quiet as hell, all the npc stalkers are quiet as hell. Is it because of Soundscape Overhauland GAMMA Soundscape Overhaul mods in the modlist?
I wanna make this feel a bit more lively, it's all just brown, dead and quiet
Got rid of the brownness at least, but the lack of sound is just offputting
even my companions don't say a goddamn word during firefights or upon seeing mutants or anything
to answer my own question: turning those 2 mods off actually gave me back wind, crickets, birds, and stalkers talk to each other
i fixed this issue - i had a saiga drum mag mod installed that had conflicts with the original saiga replacer in gamm
so i followed the !deadzone guide and everything works but the grass is ugly, looks too dark green and out of place. anything to fix that?

1. In MO2, find your "Night Mutants- xcvb" mod and right click it. It should show a list of things.
2. Click "Visit on www.moddb.com"
3. On the mod's page in moddb, click "Download Now", to download an updated version of Night Mutants.
4. In your MO2 again, go to the very top-left of your window. Click "File", then "Install Mod"
5. Find your downloaded version of "Night Mutants" and click it to install. Rename the mod to "Night Mutants Overwrite", or something like that.
6. "Night Mutants Overwrite" should now be a mod in your "GAMMA Disabled" section. Find it, and click the empty box on the left of its name to enable it.
Also check if you have red ❌ under the flags tab

Yeah it turns out it was just something I can tick on/off. Look in the ui/visuals category.It’s been months since I played but just look around there and uncheck something like modern ui or maids Icon pack. Theres like 2 or 3 you have to disable cus they each affect different icons
yep exactly. Gamma is perfect in its own way, and to make warfare fun long term, the game would need to be changed to much. Think I'm finally done with my Warfare overhaul.. finally going back to storymode

can anyone help me with a weird micro stuttering issue? i turned off 5 mods that affect the trees and grass in the game but upon turning them on again not a lot has changed so its likely not a mod issue but im still going to ask here because maybe it is. its a weird kind of stuttering but honestly more a kind of skipping around when i look around with my mouse. it does not seem to affect fps because the animations in the background as also the gun i have don't seem to be affected by it

if you want $$$ fast go sell mutant parts to butcher and run a couple quests in garbage while you're at it
it is designed around you planning intelligent loops around a specific point to mop up quests/grab a bunch of stashes, come back to base and sell things + finish quests, take a new round of quests, do that again
yeah once you figure out how the game wants you to progress and loop around the map you'll start getting gear and money fast

Your going to have to a bit of homework. You’ll need to look at the ones that cause the conflict in mo2. Usually with a X beside them. Either I think u can right click and it may show what other mods it conflicts with & turn them off or just uncheck the ones that cause conflict & if game runs fine turn them on 1 by 1. Don’t forget each mod may be using / changing another line of code / script in the game. In theory that should not matter, but my guess it does. Ie. if u have 3 different shader mods running, run 2-3 different weapon mods, Hope that makes sense.
Don’t forget either. That people like grok & team & others like efp spend hrs + on their mod packs. Tweaking mods, changing the order of them, doing a bit of recoding in individual files. I’ll be surprised if half of them ain’t bald. Lol.

I had a similar error, but mine was to do with the aek 971 receiver texture. All I did. Run gamma installer. Admin rights. Click box update gamma & full gamma install. It won’t take as long as the first time. U download the game.
It just checks all mods to see if they are up to date.

I've seen people have this issue with HD Models, seems I have it too. Shooting the renegade exoskeleton model tends to crash the game immediately. I guess this is a problem of the mod itself or? It's pretty annoying

yes, but not from mag, from inventory, so make sure you have ammo of the type in the mag in inventory
so i need mags for the weapon equipped + loose same ammo type in inventory to bug
if you have ammo of that type. it will drop from your inventory to the ground. while it can also be avoided by not having any ammo just a mag in your inventory but that also eliminate your gameplay to some degree.

To me it seems like it's something that affects magazines not actual weapons, i tried unloading and loading and only using certain mags and some mags dont drop ammo the first time they are used to be reloaded
It's a weird bug not caused by an addon, probably a base mags redux bug

No, it works now, it's actually the opposite ammo drops without one in the chamber on the weapon im using, the problem is complex and the maintainer of the mod ravenascendant is aware of it

I think i kinda fucked up a bit, after reinstalling gamma it didn't happen, i activated one in the chamber to see if that caused it, it worked with one in the chamber
But after i disabled it again the problem appeared again so i reenabled one in the chamber and now it works

I have enabled Ironman Roguelite and it seems to work up to 3 player-created stashes, but anything higher crashes on death during an attempt so save data about stashes. It says not enough memory, but I have 32Gb RAM, it cannot be all used up. Is this a problem with memory allocation for the engine, can I give it more?

Crash log attached, only have a scope 21:9 fix, unlimited stash weight, and no stutter turned on, and I switched form minimap to compass.
If I had to guess based on the end of the log, it looks like XRay was looking for a zombie that wasn't there, except it very much was.

Oh, missed step 2. As far as what I did. I just hit the cutscene part of the Miracle Machine where you fall over and then get back up, and I was trying to fight a burer and a zombie and it wasn't going very well. All I've been able to do is just restart my game after a crash. I don't know what else to do.

Everything works, just dont let them crush you with gravity, this attack works like a controller's. Greanades are tricky cause he can throw it back right in time for the xplosion

4. In your MO2 again, go to the very top-left of your window. Click "File", then "Install Mod"
5. Find your downloaded version of "Night Mutants" and click it to install. Rename the mod to "Night Mutants Overwrite", or something like that.

For me. When I get errors like that. All I do. Open installer, check for updates, full install. Update my drivers if needed. Delete shader cache folder in anomaly and works fine so far.

i'm trying to make all the guns of the same caliber deal the same damage in EFP
my game no longer has magazines
it doesnt run without the magazines mod and it crashes
one day after opening the game i no longer had magazines
my weapons load normally without them
like vanilla
!mags did you disable all the mods specified in this command? if so, Esc > Settings > Keybinds and rebind Reload
In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
1) Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2) Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3) Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4) While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5) After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash. To remove Mags Redux you'll HAVE to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: <#🖇old-mods-posting message>
i dont use ammo check
just mags redux
but it was working normally
i added only 2 mods lockpicking and skill system 2
i had an issue where the game wouldnt run
and in the process i went to the installer and redid the download of the mods
but that killed magazines
right now i have disabled mags buyable at traders but before i did all the traders had mags which were black boxes

check to see that everything that is required to be disabled is indeed disabled, try launching with avx on. Otherwise best i can do is to suggest a reinstallation, and if i'm honest it's best not to use HD Models at all. They look nice at first glance, sure, but they're sloppily done and can mess your game up even when they work "correctly"

probably console spams when the game tries to find sound and console will print long list of paths for sound that can't be found
probably start with FDDA main mod, open it's folder and see the 'sounds' folder and see the files
then search in MO2 those name files and go deleting/hiding them

or go into the config files of FDDA and change the sound path to another random thing
like instead of can_eat.ogg replace it for can_eatfsepfkja.ogg and it won't find it

hey, I was trying to edit r2_sun_lumscale stuff and everytime I change lum_hemi to any value it defaults to 0.78 after a few seconds, does anybody know why this happens and how to fix it? I looked for the cfg file mentioned in the modpage but didn'f find anything
remember that EFP uses arti ballistics and not grok ballistics

Hello, how do I get the aggressor reshade to work? I enabled it in the modloader, but after that, not sure how to proceed. I cant see it on the reshade menu, only gamma setting

Fwiw someone made a no eating/drinking sounds mod, it's in #1035807043933720576 somewhere
most of these standalone weapon packs like thompson,ump,aug,fort n rest have a shared common script that auto injects the weapon into traders to avoid overriding the same trader files in vanilla and making it incompatible
it's probably that which causes the weapon to be sold/buyable by traders in first place

those quests are bugged atm, seems they only drop the tracker if they die to something other than the player (random NPCs, companions, anomalies)

Has anyone had a named white stash that keeps changing location? I had one in Dead City that moved around every time I changed levels. Not sure if it is related, but after a a few hours, I can no longer go to Dead City as I crash with the logs stating that there is not enough memory (which I have 32gb ram and a 16gb gfx card)

You still have to download HD Models as this is just a patch to work with GAMMA but I’ve had a lot of luck with it! I’ve been messing with the third person models also with no issues

I dont't understand: how do i reload? I can drag and drop mag from inventory. "R" key dosn't do anything.

Click that, click Create Separator - name it whatever you want
as for conflicts etc, you will need to work that out yourself since there are a LOT of mods, but most people will give you a hand
best off finding a mod you want to add, then search the discord for it to see if someone has added it in the past

shaders you can easily do - just have a look around the discord ENB is fairly easy to mod. Graphics - assume you may be talking about HD models? If so, there is a guide on it somewhere.
Realism, I can recommend NPC loot claim (I think it is realism anyway) - makes the hobo phase slightly longer and you cant just cheese the military in cordon and get the noob village to kill/be killed

Hey, I have an issue with one single gun not being able to fire (firing mode stuck at 0) when loading a save. Weird thing is, if I load some other save where the gun works and then load the broken save again, it works there as well (firing mode some -num value, like -48). On a different machine where I copied the game over (it's a macbook running the game under wine) this issue doesn't manifest. Same modlist, exact copy of the files...

Are NVG scopes meant to be always on after a certain daytime? It's 19:01 and when I ADS the PN-23 auto turns night vision on and I can't turn it off which I could do previously

Anyone know what causes level transitions to wig out mid save? Like very specific ones? One run it was Yantar to Dead City, this run it's Army Warehouses to Truck Cemetery. Is this a base anomaly / gamma issue? Nothing i have should be affecting level transitions afaik but I'll list the custom stuff i have installed in a bit, not on pc rn
Starting a new game seems to make the transition points start working again
Even when i teleport straight on top of the point my dude just stands there
I can literally do every other thing that busyhands breaks tho 
After it happened i turned off limited fast travel and just use that to travel to a stash close to the exit of the point to truck cemetery
Weirdly enough the other side of the point (Truck Cemetery to AW) works perfectly fine

Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs
If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.
if you modified gamma then you can ask for help here and see if someone can answer, but don't expect a answer 100%

aha! duty expansion enabled seems to be mentioned quite a few times, i did enable it once to look if it changed anything in rostok (didn't see any changes) so I unclicked it. Seems to be the thing mentioned in posts with this error

this might be a very stupid question so please show some love. But if i change to the Aggressor reshade will that have any affect on weather changes? For example will storms and rainy days be turnt off or down depending on the reshade?

as long it's only a RESHADE, if you install config/weather/scripts files then yeah expect change in game

there is a mod you can turn on - 220 Companions Inventory Unlock - then ingame find it in MCM and enable seeing their whole inventory - then trade with companion. Maybe best turn it off afterwards and use it only when you need to

alright so I crashed, likely due to NPC pathing issues at the Krug Antenna Complex, but then after reloading that save the body health hud stopped finishing loading, leaving the hud broken. If I tried to save, reload a save, or occassionally just load into the game my game would crash, then I got the error shown above, loaded a previous save, same issue, then my game appeared strangely bright
running animations for all weapons also changed to the "aggressive" run from some of the shotguns, which are not their defaults
anyone have any idea what the fuck happened to my game
