So.. I just started playing GAMMA and I'm a bit confused about field strip vs disassembly. With field strip I can get all weapon parts except for the barrel out of a weapon without destroying it. Disassembling destroys the weapon and only gives me the barrel and scrap - shouldn't disassembling also give me the weapon parts?

If you haven’t updated for a while then no need to. I personally don’t rename it or anything. I’ve just memorised a couple of settings that I want to change in MCM and that’s it. So, if you haven’t done a lot of tweaking there then don’t rename it unless there are settings you want to save.

fooolks! Artefacts fusion! do I understand it correctly, that in RC3 we no longer can use other ertefacts to empower certain one? It looks like only the same kind of artefacts can be used for empowering. Fusing, on the other hand, always gives 100% artefacts?
you need 2 of the same artefact to empower one of them but some artefacts can be empowered by others. fusing artefacts gives a low condition artefact unless its a junk artefact, junk artefacts spawn on 100% condition now
well... from what I'm seeing, empowering of any artefact can only be done by a copy of it... Unless it's a perk artefact

its not the best artefact, its a tier 3 and it has some of the best ballistic and rupture resistances

using that cleaning kit wont repair the parts inside the gun, meaning you will still get jams

Also strange that a guy in a normal average suit can take an AP round from AK74 to the head and live.
I learnt just recently that if the barrel to the gun is damaged it reduces damage significantly

@grave pivot The "Whole Body" in the middle is your total health. So when your legs are damaged, running will cost you to lose health. So you will have to fix that leg up

Like I think the addon that prevent companion/s from blocking out passages or generally being annoying in movement is slowing them down.
Do you have them in stealth? I noticed that since that addon, they stay in stealth even when far from player (before they would run to you when you got far from them)

545 and 556 are good mid game rounds and most of their weapons are army rifle kit

Bumped down the contrast, which helped, but now everything is way too shiny in the rain (especially npcs) checked the settings, and gloss is on 0.001

How to deal with fire anomalies? I have a seva suit and helmet and still die in a few seconds from the heat, not even triggering the fire

Hi, i have a problem with game crashing on game loading, I did every step from #old-how-to and ended up with correct amount of mods enabled (261) but still whenever i launch the game from the GAMMA MO2 shortcut it crashes after i click start in new game. How do i fix this ?
Its a possiblity that it was bumped to a higher level trader, i've got him at a five and i can see he has 9x21.

That jump is doable, you have to get the correct angle facing the tree. you have to sprint at the tree and jump, and figure out where you can jump again
Oh, I'll try that but it seems a bit wonky. Stash is levitating in the air anyway. If it were positioned right at the branch as it should be, i believe a simple jump would be fine

Can I disable that when the gun condition is bad the damage is extremely low? i like the concept of fixing your parts but cmon, if the bullet managed to load and not get stuck in the gun and shoot, its velocity and damage should not be affected.

Speaking of stashes - those empty boxes laying around are safe to put stuff in, yeah? I saw in the manual that stashes are safe, even unmarked, but I wasn't sure if those count

Started a playthrough as Monolita, went into Sarcophagus, just running around inside the tunnels, noticed that my armour was slowly depleting for no discernible reason. Is this a bug, or a feature I'm not aware of?
There is some type of status effect from the area around it, be it toxic, fire, or heavy amounts of Radiations that do slowly destroy your gear

If it were rads I would have expected to be eating radiation, but that's not the case
Think about it like this, if you go somewhere with high levels of radiations, you dont suffer as badly because of your gear, but your gear takes the brunt of the effects. Its just how things work within Stalker as a whole
Dont agree with the logic. Reduced damage from the gun is a superficial “rpg” style modification which wouldn’t really be in style of stalker. Yes there is space for creativity, but this just seems too superficial.
i remember reading (stalker lore) that some suits where made to take the big impact of the energy transfers that happens with rads (they spike, and that spike does fuck your cells and dna up irl, also this is just half assed research i did and im stupid so take it with a grain of salt), so that the spiking does not happen inside of your body

weapons dont load bullets into the chamber automatic, you get up to 5 times the ammo if you play with mags anyway - so not every weapon you come across being chambered is not really a big deal. Also it had been that way since the first time i switched to RC3 which was like 1,5 days after its release, might be something scuffed, might also be you didnt notice it before hand
