I mean, .50 is 12.7mm, the only difference is the length of the cartridge. I think Grok wanted to avoid having only one gun in the game that uses .50 calibre (therefore making the calibre pretty much useless)
i honestly had a few questions about the meds, but after thinking hard and remembering "oh shit i could use that to survive this shit" as specially in fights i saw why some things did, what they did - the rest will be re-balanced for RC3 (since RC2 is just a test bed now, if i understood that right)
So I'm pretty new to this pack, and I know it overhauls the economy, which in most cases I like so far. However, all the artifacts I've found so far sell for less than empty shell casings (~20-40 roubles), is this intentional? And even if it is, is there a mod responsible for the economy of artifacts in particular?

Disable "GAMMA Artefacts Reinvention". This will revert the artefact system to vanilla
Although I would heavily recommend giving the system another chance, since it is a core aspect of the pack and is actually alot of fun+

Yeah, it can be a bit overwhelming at first. You will get the hang of it pretty fast, I am sure. 
yeah gamma does not try to just look flashy af, but it can be a bit much for new players (new to heavily modded anomaly)
just keep a Sigma grind set at times and you will do fine

I've used another modpack with these glowsticks but they used another model, which i prefer, and I was wondering how I'd go about getting it to use that model.

No idea, but you'd probably have to rip the model, shaders, effects, etc. and replace the same files in the current glowsticks add-on.

The weird thing is that there seems to be the addon for the ones I prefer in MO2 and its enabled which hurts my head even more.

Yeah, it seems Grok wanted to use the HD version, but the Gamma Glowstick Patches addon overwrites and reverts them back to normal. I guess he forgot to include the HD models in the Patch-Addon

I tried replacing the texture, meshes and shader folder with the ones form the HD version, but game CTDs when trying to use a glowstick that way. That was the full extend of my modding capabilities

I wanted to use these ones because imo these ones look better, I think the ones currently in gamma look a bit too simple and I'd rather have that extra bit of realism while playing if that makes any sense.
they are both realistic and both actualy cost around the same, at least last time i needed some IRL

but irl i would use thies, they can be placed standing and thanks to the hook you can just hook them up somewhere on your gear or on a string aboth you - just for utility i would use them IRL
That's where I was aiming at, if you had to pick between the two irl being based off of utility then I'd choose the 'HD' model as they have more upsides than the ones currently in GAMMA.
I know the hook and flat bottom in game makes no difference to the practicality of the glowsticks but it makes it more immersive having something I'd actually choose out of the two.

Only thing you can try is skipping to the next step of the questline, effectively skipping this task. But it's a 50/50 call if it works or not

@willow hawk this is probably really late to the discussion but i just tested some artefacts i got from npcs, put them in a stash and took them out and they updated to their true low condition and after doing it multiple times it does not reset again

might have to throw in the artifact you get from strelok after your first talk with him is already in an AAC and stays at 100% unless you take it out of course, since its a "quest reward" it seems okay but if somebody needs that container like NOW in his/her run they might get water into their eyes once the artifact taken out randomised ^^
it stays the same, tested everything with them from containers to stashes. i am not sure they are intended to stay at full condition but they definitely dont "update"

you can sleep to heal all limbs, also other ways of healing are using a first aid (like bandages or medkits) and then a post heal (yadulin and ibuprofen)

the best skat 9 is probably the clear sky or mercs (could be one of the many duty variants but i have not compared those myself yet)

My freedom exosuit is way better than Skat one
what i am currently doing (and it seems to be working) is i am wearing a merc grassland exosuit and a 40% volat emerald artefact

sadly, you should just use the worst condition artefact you have as the ones you craft will always be the low condition
seems like shader cache is the poison of the modpack.
So how do I get 100% ?
craft multiple of the same artefact to "empower" the highest condition one you have
its very do able, run around in an area from anomaly field to another and there will almost always be a new artefact
i dont think there is anything you can do about it in game

just in case i made that too confusing i will use the in game terms: you can "fuse" different artefacts into a higher tier artefact, you "empower" artefacts that you want to use with the same artefact so it goes higher in condition and will have better stats
@graceful iron , making the file read only and revoking normal user access to his own user tab folder seems to do the trick
it will never save cache. and when it comes to read, there is nothing.
you could add this to the installation process. almost no pause menu time, and loading seems faster.

What is the addon that allows you to talk to all random npcs? It's kinda odd that vanilla Anomaly only allows you to talk to certain npcs only.
anomaly will by default undo the changes you did to some files in its folder, it has to write a cache i think

there is like a compilation of 255 mods and 1 major creation after the game it self.

I'll try this tweak next time I play, pause menu is a bit slow to open sometimes for me too, after hours of playing.
it helps loading aswell.
now try having the game open for 4-6 hours or play for that long and see if your fix actually did something somehow, keep in mind shader cache is not the only performance eating factor in any modpack

Despite reading the manual, i still don't really get how radiation works in GAMMA. I have around 80% radiation protection (M50z Gasmask), but when walking through Yantar and hit a radiation spot, im still coughing and losing health pretty rapidly within a matter of seconds. I mean is this intended?

You first apply a bandage or a tourniquet or an army/scientist medkit. Your leg health bar will turn yellow. Then you get some kind of medicine to fix it.
Ibuprofen for example. You can hover over the medicine icon to see its tooltip. Yellow dots show how much temporary restoration you can get from it. White dots show how much permanent restoration you can get. Keep in mind you must do a temp fix before a permanent fix.
Sleeping will fix all your limbs but not your health.

Those are always found inside stashes. Search more thoroughly under the rubble.

look through all keybinds in the settings and change them to what you like, mcm ones will tell you if they have any conflicts but you have to make sure you dont bind anything to conflicting keys

i use "invictus protect" mod that got suggested here, tells you if you failed the achievement
btw is invitus even possible in gamma anyway? the Skill system changes carry weight in the setting to simulate strength
from what i have seen it does not fail with the skill system
if ya dont believe me start a new game check the setting, overload your self somehow and walk from one end of rookie village to the other for a few times for level 1 and check it again

That way I have better control over all the files while keeping the GitHub repo light, which allows faster updates
GAMMA disabled is an emergency measure to disable add-ons that are broken / not necessary etc

so if i press L, the googles will only drain battery.

RC1, unlike RC2, is almost free of bugs and issues, it's been tested intensively, many people including myself have finished at least one run on it and that's why it have more "coverage", because if anyone wants to try GAMMA for the first time, they have RC1 ready and safe to use.
It's obviously not the final product but it's the closest thing we have now.
RC2, on the other hand, it's been released "officially" AS A BETA for anyone who wants to try it and give feedback, that's why Grok didn't say anything "official", because it's still in beta testing, even RC1 is a beta.

So is artifact hunting no longer a viable way to make money? I have a grizzly and i keep finding artifacts that are at like 0.001% condition. Kinda disappointing so far.
It's generally better to do radiant tasks for various NPCs to accumulate currency.

If you want the vanilla models you can disable Dux Innumerable Character Kit.

Not much, if any. The models use roughly the same amount of vertices as the vanilla models. They use the same resolutions of normal, and specular, maps as vanilla too.
