No. You can take the time afterward to clear up some space and run the installer again.
It'll check which mods are already installed and jump forward to the next one in line that isn't installed yet.

Man this will sound crazy but I dont like EFT weapon positions.I prefer the feel of vanilla weapons look like they are being carried at hip.There is no way we will be running around for 12 hours a day with weapon at shoulder.
Could I simply remove a file here or there or are these positions dug deep into the mod?
No idea, but the auto-lower mod lets your weapon model be placed parallel to your screen's bottom. You also generally have a weapon strap to shift the weight to your body more.

i did download the attachments mod which had no problem a week or 2 ago.it all happened with the new update.Other than that,everything is fine
so i am kind of at a loss here. I have been building up trader levels and slowly progressing farther north, but...I'm not running into any kind of progression in gear. What am i missing? Should i be doing missions for duty and freedom and leveling their respective traders? or should i just high tail it to the ship trader and hope he sells some proper gear? When i say gear i mean repair kits and components and such.
techs sell repair kits
you level them by giving them tools
its also cheaper to craft kits yourself though buying them from techs is convenient

the biggest choice is essentially what you do with your first expert toolkit, keep it for crafting anywhere or give it to a specific tech to upgrade them fully

So im finding that theres some controls that are mapped to buttons but dont show up on the keybind menus
Ive been trying to figure out the NVG but figured they didnt work because I didnt have any but then I pressed M and it turned on my night vision. Also found that my extra mouse button is mapped to a zoom in feature but I have no idea how to change any of these keys after looking in settings for 20 minutes
I really want to map the NVGs to a better key but have no idea how. The original keybind menu doesnt work for the NVG
some keys are not in keybinds, instead they are binded inside a script
if you want to change the free zoom keybind, find "G.A.M.M.A. Keybinds fixes" in the mo2 list, open that folder, and search for free_zoom.script
also theres bas_nvg_scopes.script , first line it's binded to 'M', you can change that to the key you want

Wow digging what I have played so far BUT certain graphics cause game to stutter.Its really bad when I get around a fire or anomalies.Yes they look great but if the fps stutters that doesnt help out in any way.Just wanna know what I can do to put graphics down to stock anomaly.So far I have clicked off aggressor mod,enhanced shaders color grading and 2 glossy surfaces SSR mods.Getr in game in its running thankfully but get near fires or anomalies and its still stutter city.

@lilac meteor Hey where was this other gentleman with the black screen issue in bugs roughly? I scrolled and scrolled but didnt find it. I have complete sound, can move and access inventory fine, and adjusting brightness didn't seem to work. I did the "cfg_load grading_warm" trick as well and had no luck 😦

im familiar with that setting in the normal launcher but when activating from GAMMA it goes straight into DX11AVX and I never get the box to check/uncheck the removal of the shader cache

The parkour isn't especially hard, you just have to be very careful of timing so as not to get hit by the green ball of gas or whatever it is. I assume it will hurt really bad, it does in vanilla CoP.

those quests have broken english and bad placements for markers same with the artefact hunters
if you installed gamma correctly then you should be able to install other modpacks. both of them use portable instances for mo2

Tough choice indeed, I opted for canted sights and honestly did not miss the greande launcher that much. it can be useful in some situations, but overall i used the canted sight a lot more, and you dont have to buy grenades 
scar-h bas can have a grenade launcher and a canted sight
but the grenade launcher for it is pretty rare

i did multiple missions for the colonel "the special assignments" and then i got a message in the pda telling me to help with taking the cnpp. still got more of these missions i can take but seems doing the special assignments is what unlocks the monolith revenge mission
sorry took me a few hours to actually test this and make sure i was referring to the right mission
the assignments send you to each underground lab to retrieve the main docs they have there, the ones i did were agroprom underground(not sure whats the lab called)- lab x18- miracle machine- brain scorcher
also they give some very nice rewards like a skat-9 for completing the third lab mission
it's a compromise of an addon called 2d shader based scopes. The inside of the scope is more zoomed than the outside, but it is a bit blurry. If you don't like it open the console and type scope_factor 1

@willow hawk so I followed the steps for HD models (the ones you gave) but now some of the gun icons are the pixelated ones (low res vanilla)

This might be a stupid question.. The traders don't sell weapons or armor.. so.. how do I get good weapons and armor? I have a meh gun but.. I cant find any good armor?
Also, anyone having trouble with NVG. I fixed this on my game last night. I disabled the main Beefs NVG in the modlist (176). Then Reinstalled the 177-Beefs_NVGs patches right below it in the mod list. When reinstalling I checked 3 boxes. "Beefs NVG, Arszi's radiation, and the "ES and SRR box". That fixed it for me.
For anyone wondering, I was holding "N" and hearing the NVG turn on sound effect, but nothing happened. The steps above fixed this.
@thorny hazel Yes, I've read them both. The majority of dead stalkers don't have armor in their inventory. Is this normal?
weird, I think most stalkers should have an armor and helmet in inventory
I only had an issue in my first in game day. After that armour and weapon drops (though ruined) are quite common
From time to time I find a ski-mask or a low tier gas mask. But harldy any armor. And if they do have armor its a leather jacket or something lol

Yantar isn't ideal I'd say, there's only ecologists and mutants. Try army warehouses after a shootout between freedom and duty
Are stashes ranked by color or zone? I heard somewhere that purple stashes are good. All my stash locations show up white.
There's an overhaul installed for Stashes made by Grok. All I've seen so far are white and green stashes. I found my suit (among other rare items) in green stashes

They modify character_desc_x.xml
Which contains information about important NPCs (dialogue/visuales/voices/faction)
progressive outfits, also a mod that makes outfits have a chance of dropping. there is a config for it in mcm(skill addon has a scav skill that increases these chances and other loot chances on stalkers )
being a higher rank means you will have a chance of getting better outfits on dead stalkers
stashes have better loot value the further north you go, getting tool kits, outfits and guns in them is important as you need to craft and repair a lot and you cant buy guns and outfits. basic tools spawn anywhere south of AW, advanced tool kits spawn anywhere next to red forest and sometimes a bit further north while expert kits spawn in the more dangerous or northern areas like radar, outskirts, pripyat and cnpp
stashes that are not marked on the map will almost always have nothing in them other than the little ammo or medical item added by zcp. green stashes have better chances at giving tool kits or higher tier items
items that spawn in the world respawn after a set amount of time and will have some useful items like ammo or junk as crafting materials or armor parts
dont mind the essay. if you found it useful then cool, if you dont care then just dont

There are two progression systems.
One is tied to your rank and will drop better armors after few days. That prevent RNG blessings giving you skat 9 armors early.
Then there's a system that makes the better and heavier armors having a chance to be converted to parts instead of actual armors.
That prevents easy endgame by finding nosorogs easily

I feel bad for asking and I’m quite a noob but I just downloaded GAMMA and I can navigate the menus just fine and set up my loadout just fine in the menus but the moment I press play I get a black screen and after about 3 minutes or so I can hear sounds in the zone but I can’t see the zone? Does anyone know of a resolution?

are you playing on fullscreen or borderless and the correct resolution for your screen? try the troubleshooting steps for blackscreen #│🔧troubleshooting

the game runs fine other than the black screen so what you will probably have to do now is go to your gamma folder >delete the "mods" folder>open the installer> click update gamma data> after thats done click complete gamma installation @noble edge

I second this... the amount of times my companion just sits there stuck in a doorway and does nothing for 10mins is crazy... and being able to teleport her to me is basically a requirement for me
Maybe make it an auto teleport if they get too far behind? Feels gamey to instant teleport NGL. Skyrim mod has a nice way to do it where they get stuck and auto teleport and always behind you so you dont notice them teleporting.

What i'm wondering if anyone knows the answer is, is damage calculated based upon your armor individually? so for instance if my armor has 25% Ballistic res and my helm has 40% and i get shot in the chest, does my helm do anything or is it calculated location based? How do other damage types work? chemical/radiation/heat ect
I think it's all combined, so for instance if your armor it's 25% and your helm is 40%, it takes both of them, so you have 65% in ballistic
Same goes for chemical, for example, armor 20% and helm 20% = 40%

yeah, that's definitely how it works on the stats page below your equipment, and that's how i thought it worked, but someone told me a few days ago that it's all location based except for radiation... but it's really hard to evaluate armors to wear without knowing how it works
it's a combination because i noticed i was getting owned with just the suit on then i popped a helm on and could take quite a lot more damage. Because of this, and the additional suits and helmets available, you can get better stats from a suit and helm than you can with the vanilla stuff.

you must have a different version or something. Demo record for me just makes me a camera that can float around. like an out of body scenario. I cant interact with anything. You keep saying numpad zero, which is labeled a system reboot in my debug listing. demo record isnt even listed in my debug.

Yes, it's normal that you are a "ghost", it's like noclip but your character don't move, it's a known thing in Stalker games

it tries to find the vanilla bin files, and it throws 'corrupt files' because those files are being modified by addons of gamma
just select dx11avx or the DX that you use and click on 'launch' on mo2
